pundits. ...In 2011.there is no need for news to use
pundits. Jon Stewart went on Crossfire
and completely destroyed the show and
the concept. It is useless information.Yet
CNN still doesn't get it. Comedians are
much better handling the news than what
is passing as journalists these days. JS &
others do their homework. There is a reason
Jon Stewart is trusted. He focuses on facts.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540471114822045290.post-80369778140719905042011-07-15T20:38:23.905-04:002011-07-15T20:38:23.905-04:00CNN is completely politically tone deaf.
CNN's...CNN is completely politically tone deaf.
CNN's political coverage doesn't talk to
viewers. It is all about them and screw
the viewers. On the other hand MSNBC
talks to viewers never forgetting to look
at the camera and look you in the eye.
Meanwhile on CNN, the beltway mentality.
They need to be in the thick of the mess.
CNN can't even acknowledge viewers. So
CNN really wants to disengage viewers.
That failure mission is going great.CNN
made MSNBC a solid # 2. Hardball is so
hot. I wonder if it is the same for Dylan.
MSNBC aint giving up Toure. Everybody
can see CNN is so over and done.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540471114822045290.post-54018196440592452442011-07-15T18:49:27.484-04:002011-07-15T18:49:27.484-04:00CNN needs to stop showing so many repeats
and be...CNN needs to stop showing so many repeats
and be live as much as possible. FNC & CNN
are ideological talking points. MSNBC is more
freestyle. I don't know if CNN has much time
but if MSNBC gets to consistently averaging
1 million or more in prime time, that is more
problems for CNN, which has yet to figure out
the MSNBC puzzle. How will they ever catch
FNC ? Listen to Jon Stewart CNN. 360 won't
move until some 3 weeks from now but if the
numbers dip before that time it won't matter.
By the way those 6 PM numbers are for Al
Sharpton, which just goes to show viewers will
watch anything but CNN.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540471114822045290.post-49050276023909339372011-07-15T17:25:13.830-04:002011-07-15T17:25:13.830-04:00I don't know if CNN would ever hire Toure,
Ais...I don't know if CNN would ever hire Toure,
Aisha Tyler or Srombo but it is clear they
have to do something. IMHO MSNBC is
growing because of diversity, smart talk.
MSNBC looks hip and resembles a college
campus. At this time I can't give you a good
description for CNN. Lost is the best word.
According to TV by the Numbers CNN is 4th.
It will be interesting to see if 360 can keep
those demo numbers at 8 . When the show
began AC had to be well over 300 thousand
to end up with 293,000 in the demo. It's my
theory that AC beats Last Word in the demo.
It will be interesting to see the total viewers.
Ironically, 360 does not have to get a million
viewers to get big demos like the others. He
got nearly 300 thousand in the demo with
just 782,000 viewers.CNN has to focus more
on content,story-telling, better use of video
presentation, infograhics, animation , etc. I
really wish Anderson would do a news version
of the Ridiculist at the beginning of 360. You
have to do something to get viewers to tune
in at the beginning.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
