I don't know who watches him, but he must have a very large family.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540471114822045290.post-48318358704101822282010-07-27T18:47:11.786-04:002010-07-27T18:47:11.786-04:00Interesting TVN articles about MSNBC VS. CNN. See...Interesting TVN articles about MSNBC VS. CNN. Seems as though CNN is stronger during the day, gaining viewership over MSNBC, but losing them again in the prime hours, when Olberman and Maddow kick in. Fox leads over all and CNN finished fourth in primetime.
CNN has a tough road ahead of it. Even MSNBC has more that one star.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540471114822045290.post-90091974767838768792010-07-26T18:44:22.631-04:002010-07-26T18:44:22.631-04:00I really don't get CNN's thinking on Frida...I really don't get CNN's thinking on Friday. Rick's list got a 99 in the demos on Friday, while a repeat of 360 got 150. While they both did poorly, wouldn't it be logical to rerun something in the 8PM hour and not have Sanchez show up than to give AC the day off?? Both shows in totals did almost the same, though an absent AC brought in about 30,000 more viewers than a live Sanchez.
But then NOTHING CNN does, is logical.
According to TVN, CNN placed third behind MSNBC on Friday. Olberman and Maddow doubled their totals over 360. Has CNN given up on 360 Fridays? This is the only conclusion the viewer can come to?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540471114822045290.post-11344745041906618522010-07-26T01:47:21.324-04:002010-07-26T01:47:21.324-04:00It seems to me there is a disconnect between what ...It seems to me there is a disconnect between what is actually aired on 360 and what is edited and cut. Who makes this decision and why is the question?
Possibly this is what goes on behind the scenes that the viewer knows nothing about.
I have a feeling AC along with many of the other anchors/journos, spend a lot of time interviewing and doing a variety of field work that we never make the cut simply because "PRODUCERS' think they know what we want, when, in fact, they don't. That alone, must be very frustrating and a big waste of time.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540471114822045290.post-77152027376718440102010-07-25T18:24:43.682-04:002010-07-25T18:24:43.682-04:00Sorry to burst your bubble about John Roberts, but...Sorry to burst your bubble about John Roberts, but the truth would have come out anyway because Tony Harris interviewed Sherrod later that day, and if he hadn't done it someone else would have. John Roberts has proven to be a good journalist but a boring anchor. They should replace him with Don Lemon in the morning alongside Kiran and get John out in the field. Morning ratings for the show are poor.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540471114822045290.post-6068393161677468382010-07-25T17:12:04.283-04:002010-07-25T17:12:04.283-04:00CNN needs to take the ball and run with it.
There ...CNN needs to take the ball and run with it.
There is a wide open field for news without
opinion and talking points. Go for it. I do like
the way they have been opening 360 with a
monologue on a story. It would be great if
they did this for all of the stories being featured
on 360. I have noticed the promo featuring
John Roberts, John King and Anderson Cooper.
While everyone else was going with the story
John Roberts was uncovering the truth and that
started the ball rolling to the Sherrod story
really getting out. I hope we see more of
John Roberts in prime time but then again
had not Roberts been around to do the morning
interview the truth may not have come out.
That is just pure journalistic instincts.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540471114822045290.post-53951756088456228732010-07-24T17:59:21.726-04:002010-07-24T17:59:21.726-04:00There isn't much to talk about? Seems as if so...There isn't much to talk about? Seems as if some in the blogosphere are calling out Anderson Cooper's claim that liberals do the same thing as Andrew Breitbart. Name the person who is a liberal who actually doctors videos to fit his agenda?
This is a question Cooper NEEDS to answer. I don't know of any eqivalent do you?
If the "Truth Matters," AC shouldn't "make stuff up that doesn't exist." He's a journalist with credibility....at least so far.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
