Begala was on last night but probably ONLY because he disagrees with the administration's actions.

Commentator Goldie Taylor said this:

Here's what I know. Some of the networks don't like being deemed "liberal"... so they take every opportunity to prove the contrary.

This seems to be the case with CNN/AC360 now. It's fine to have those guests I mentioned above on the show, but get some balance and other perspectives in as well.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540471114822045290.post-11738964777227800722013-06-06T19:51:31.360-04:002013-06-06T19:51:31.360-04:00Yeah, I could care less what Ron Paul or his dopey...Yeah, I could care less what Ron Paul or his dopey son Rand think about anything. My guy Jake Tapper scored a big scoop - interview with Glen Greenwald! Oh, Chris Hayes beat Anderson Cooper last night. I guess the breaking news buzz is fading.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540471114822045290.post-69996272699372983372013-06-06T18:29:59.991-04:002013-06-06T18:29:59.991-04:00Ron Paul tweeted that he'll be on 360 to talk ...Ron Paul tweeted that he'll be on 360 to talk about the Verizon/NSA controversy. They couldn't bother getting anyone to talk about Susan Rice's appointment to National Security Adviser yesterday, but of course Ron Paul's available instantly! 360 ignores the Obama Administration completely UNLESS they have a controversial topic which they can invite a conservative on to have a go at the President, otherwise they won't even report on the stories that other news networks report regarding the President.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540471114822045290.post-89231764322885531852013-06-06T14:06:11.445-04:002013-06-06T14:06:11.445-04:00AC360 didn't think the President Obama/Susan R...AC360 didn't think the President Obama/Susan Rice/Samantha Power news was even worth a mention in the bulletin. That is what CNN die with Susan Rice and Samantha Power. Ignoring that this is a very strong national security team. The demographics of America is changing and CNN is acting like it's the 90's because we have a media that is too full of itself. CNN and others are rapidly losing influence for not getting the facts straight or real reporting about the story. Who cares ? That's the attitudes towards the pundits. CNN should have conducted an intelligent conversation about national security issues and the possible direction of U.S. foreign policy. CNN has too much backward thinking.CNN has to realize there is a huge disconnect with viewers and the ratings reflect that.
There just is something missing from CNN these days. Like rock solid journalism. It has been replaced by rhetoric and that is a ratings disaster for CNN.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540471114822045290.post-51560451759579477222013-06-05T18:16:03.078-04:002013-06-05T18:16:03.078-04:00Ouch, CNN is falling back down to earth so far for...Ouch, CNN is falling back down to earth so far for the month of June. CNN will have to address the Piers Morgan situation soon. According to TVN PMT has registered in the 80 thousands in the demo. CNN is in big trouble again.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540471114822045290.post-14663948843215631082013-06-05T17:04:46.185-04:002013-06-05T17:04:46.185-04:00Their assessment of Jake Tapper is completely wron...Their assessment of Jake Tapper is completely wrong.
The show is biased like all of the political shows on
CNN. The ratings for the Lead are not good. However,
they are right about the panels and PMT.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540471114822045290.post-8584399198466765502013-06-05T15:43:35.607-04:002013-06-05T15:43:35.607-04:00CNN needs to introduce a new style of political re...CNN needs to introduce a new style of political reporting and analysis that has nothing to do with ideology or the political establishment. Could CNN
create something like a new Laugh In. If you study political/social commentary on American TV, you will learn that Laugh In and The Smothers Brothers proceeded TDS and Colbert. You can event throw SNL into the mix. Look at Laugh In clips on You Tube. CNN would also have a huge library. Winter In America by the late Gil Scot Heron comes to mind when you look at what is happening in Washington. Can you say Clash ? CNN is a part of the problem.
Also, ignore polls and stop trying to act like they reflect the true feelings of Americans. After being schooled by Nate Silver and the 2012 presidential election, you would think they would move away from polls as a reflection of Americans as a whole. The results are from the respondents. That;s the problem with polls.

CNN is bringing on Republicans to rant about Susan Rice being named NSA. Why ? There is nothing they can do about the appointment and that's all.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540471114822045290.post-81218801261183782092013-06-05T11:43:51.695-04:002013-06-05T11:43:51.695-04:00The Huffington Post has a must read on CNN and why...The Huffington Post has a must read on CNN and why they are stll terrible. Boy Piers Morgan is really tanking but CNN will wait too late to cancel the show. Also, the article mentions what we have ben saying about partisan pundit hires turn off viewers. That is why bringing back Crossfire makes zero sense.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540471114822045290.post-41102767968907347672013-06-04T15:16:13.765-04:002013-06-04T15:16:13.765-04:00But you see one Anthony Bourdain show and you'...But you see one Anthony Bourdain show and you've seen them all - his others are still running on other networks.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6540471114822045290.post-70449200947816900792013-06-04T11:38:54.741-04:002013-06-04T11:38:54.741-04:00Huffington Post has a really fascinating interview...Huffington Post has a really fascinating interview with George Stroumboulopoulos. It runs about 36 minutes. This is going to be great for CNN. The Huffington Post guy is right CNN needs to be airing shows like Anthony Bourdain, George Stroumboulopoulos and Morgan Spurlock. Everyone knows original shows are the future even in cable news.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
