CNN Ladies Win Gracie Allen Awards

American Women in Radio and Television handed out their annual Gracie awards over a two day period having the Gracie Awards Gala on Monday June 18, 2007 at the Marriott Marquis in New York City and the Gracies Awards Luncheon on Tuesday June 19, 2007 at the Tavern on the Green in New York City.

For more than 55 years, AWRT has served as the voice and resource for women in the electronic media. And for more than three decades, the Foundation of AWRT has been a leader in celebrating and honoring programming created for, by and about women, as well as individuals who have made exemplary contributions to the industry. The Gracies strive to encourage the realistic and faceted portrayal of women in entertainment, commercials, news, features and other programs.

CNN won three awards,

CNN Medical Producer A. Chris Gajilan won the Individual Achievement Award Outstanding Producer – News ~CNN



CNN anchor Paula Zahn of Paula Zahn Now won the Outstanding Feature - Soft News: Paula Zahn Now: Dana Reeve: A Tribute ~ CNN



CNN anchor Soldad O'Brien won the Individual Achievement Award Outstanding Anchor ~ CNN

  2. Interesting that Soledad won the anchor award after she was dumped. I'm glad she won... I wish she was better utilized at CNN now.

  3. I agree PT interesting that Soledad won and has lost her show and now the rumors that Paula, who also won, is on her way out.
