Monday Michael Ware appeared on The Situation Room and Campbell Brown's program to discuss what needs to happen in order for the US to get out of Afghanistan. He will also be appearing as part of CNN's team covering President Obama's address to the nation tonight.

Utilizing its world-wide resources, CNN will provide live, global, multi-platform coverage of President Barack Obama’s address on Afghanistan on Tuesday, Dec. 1. Special coverage of Decision: Afghanistan will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET. Surrounding the President’s address at 8 p.m. ET, CNN lead political anchor Wolf Blitzer, along with Campbell Brown and Anderson Cooper will anchor live coverage from New York. CNN anchors including Christiane Amanpour, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, John King and Fareed Zakaria will offer insight and analysis. Senior political analysts Gloria Borger and David Gergen will provide political perspective, while senior White House correspondent Ed Henry reports live from West Point, the site of President Obama’s address. CNN’s Michael Ware will also be reporting from New York and will offer his foreign affairs expertise. Special coverage will kick off at 7 p.m. with a special edition of CNN Tonight with John Roberts anchoring.

ReplyDeleteMichael Ware may be very knowledgeable and his expertise precise, but he needs to be told that when he is making a formal presentation, such as the one he did with John King and his magic wall map in front of a multitude of cameras, in reference to the Afgan War, and Obama's military strategy, he MUST dress for the occassion.
ReplyDeleteThere was Mr. King, dressed to the nines, as he should be, and there was Michael Ware, looking slovenly, as though he had just jumped out of bed and landed on national television. No other channel would put up with his nonsense and neither should CNN. Presentation is everything, and the way in which one appears on camera, especially in HD, is important, if he is to be taken seriously.
We all know his background and yes, he knows and understands the regions better than most, but would it hurt if he wore a jacket over his sloppy blue shirt? Just asking.

the best. I did not have a problem with
Ware's attire. There is only 1 criticism.
CNN needs to stop saying polls are how
all Americans feel. They need to start saying
respondents,participants or those polled.
Even pollsters are warning it is how the
question is asked. Also, I thought some
on the panel were trying to confuse remarks
from Obama on Afghanistan and Iraq, He
said he would bring the troops home from
Iraq.Obama made many different statements
on Afghanistan.
CNN had the best coverage hands down.

this signals is that CNN will give the reporters
a much larger role. Where was Candy Crowley?
