  1. The ratings show that people are not too
    interested in underwear bomber.CNN
needs to realize this is not 9/11. The big
    winer is HLN.

  2. I say Jon Klein is gone by March.

  3. Enough Kathy Kriffin. This has become an over saturated topic about a person who is really not that important.
I don't care if they use her as the New Year's Eve ball in time square next year. Just think of the ratings!

  4. Personally, I am sick of the grandstanding by
CNN on this issue. No one was fired for 9/11.
When a press is dishonest people know.We
get pov journalism because that is al that
    the middle-aged baby-boomers know who
now run the cable news networks. They think
that people want the same news that they
    are into.

  5. I am surprised that Klein has lasted this long.
CNN is damaged and is truly disconnected from
its viewers and is at a place the ratings where
they have never been before, I see no reason
to watch CNN these days it is just terrible.

  6. CNN is the problem and there is a backlash.
Opinion & pundits need to go now. The world
has changed. Opinion does not serve the people.
It is used to divide them or make them fearful
or angry, which is what Jack Cafferty is trying
to do. Really CNN is this the best you can do?
It is coming pretty apparent that cable news
is spreading ignorance and being negligent
by focusing on absolutely nothing. If it was
not for 360 I would not be watching CNN at
all. Each night Anderson needs to have a
dispatch to inform us about the world.
If you spend time overseas, you would realize
that the rest of the world is living in the
21st century, just look it the useless info
on cable news and you know why. That is
exactly why I go to the internet for news
because I can avoid the political bs, If I
watch the news on television I don't have
that choice because there is none.Of
course when the pundits show up on 360
I go to BBC or even CCTV 4 out of Hong
    Kong.

  7. The Daily Show is more accurate than CNN.
At least because of the arctic blast CNN has
    lost the crawl.

  8. I am willing to bet when the ratings come out
later today that CNN will not be too happy.
CNN is permitting itself to be used to settle
scores between ideologues. Unless your are
a criminal or crazy forget about it.

  9. CNN could learn a lot from Niglhtlne. It is doing
quite nicely against Conan and Letterman. The
Olympics are coming next month and CNN is
not off to such a great start.I am not sure a
political show is the answer for CNN.

  10. The ratings are in for yesterday and CNN is
4th across the board. Finally, Peter Bergen
exposed CNN for the hypocrites they are,
Mr Bergen pointed out that no one ever
took responsibility for an actual terrorist
attack that was 9/11. Look for CNN to take
a bigger dive come Jan 18th, it makes no
    sense.

  11. I think CNN might looking to put John &
kyra on in place of Campbell. It is bound
    to be the next announcement.

    ReplyDelete
  12. We can't have Peter Bergen telling us the truth....guess he'll be the next to go.
@7:10AM: That's not true. Someone was fired for 9/11 and he always speaks about it...Bill Maher. ABC fired him, and now he's on HBO,TG.

  13. CNN is toast. Somewhere MSNBC is laughing.

  14. 360 dominated its programming with the Leno/Conan fiasco and "their" ratings problem. Isn't there a saying, "People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones?" I got the impression they/AC was more than happy to be reporting it.

  15. CNN needs to realize that they are not being
fair in their coverage of the foiled plane attempt.
Their numbers have steadily been trending down
since the silliness of someone should be fired
while at the same time having people who missed
9/11 act like they were so on top of things.HLN
is clearly going to pass both CNN & MSNBC.
The new lineup will cause a complete collapse.
There was no reason for CNN to go to single
anchor format for 2 hours . It doesn't work
because people think it is not different from
what they just saw. That is why MSNBC is
    changing anchors every hour.

  16. FOX keeps hammering away that Obama's reaction was too slow and it took him five days to comment about the failed attempt. What they don't mention is that it took Cheney eight years to come out of his cave. We still have absolutely no idea where he was during 9/11.
Bush we know, sat in a classroom filled with little kids, looking mortified, before he even got up...no less speak to the public.

  17. CNN is in trouble because they throw facts out
of the window. There was just a segment on
Campbell Brown that was filled with wrong
information with regards to Treasury Sec'y
Geithner. She failed to mention that the bank
bailout happened under Bush and permitted
a Republican to make outrageous statements
that are not true. I can't believe that she never
bothered to mention that the NY FED said the
had no involvement and clearly tried to make
it seem as though Obama administration did
something wrong. I was so glad to see that
    Countdown is now challenging Journalists
to stop letting Republicans get away with
something that is not true. Even Bloomberg
is backing off some after the comments from
the NY FED because the congressman first
went to them first but as more facts come
in Bloomberg is making sure they put
things into perspective. Yes Geithner should
answer questions but so should others from
the Bush administration.CNN in not a news
channel it just makes stuff up.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Brown's husband worked for Bush and the
RNC. She should not be doing politics.
Hey, this is the network that has hired some
of the Bush people. That is exactly why their
ratings are falling will continue to fall until
some real changes are made.CNN needs to
realize it it not a blog, or gossip tabloid or
talk radio.CNN has zero credibility and zero
    influence. CNN habitually asked loaded
questions and then the story does not
    match the hyperbole.

    ReplyDelete
  19. One thing that CNN and the others need to
realize is that politics is not the center of
how we consume information. Only on
cable news is this true.I am so over the
underwear bomb and Obama should do
    this or that.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Name one CNN news president who ever was
not fired when ratings got this bad.CNN has
    never been 4th.

    ReplyDelete
  21. IMHO CNN seems to have trouble booking good
guest so they rely on their pundits. In the world
according to CNN only Republicans and Dems
will be on their network, not the people who
can really put things into perspective.CNN is
in trouble because it is making itself a part of
all of the political discord.I am sick and tired
of the back and forth between the political
parties, it is a what I call lazy journalism. It
requires no imagination for booking ideologues
on various subjects. It is impossible to fix CNN
is you have this limited mindset.

  22. I am watching the Daily Rundown on MSNBC and
it looks like night and day.MSNBC has a hip digital
look and CNN has the cheesy graphics.CNN needs
an overhaul in all categories. Changing anhcors
will not solve the problem. Neither will doing the
same dumb things over and over again.CNN is
going to fall way behind and needs to.
