Well Campbell is gone, even though her lovely image is still reflected in her ill fated show.
ReplyDeleteJohn King USA is getting better at 7PM. For some reason he seems really comfortable just chatting away in one of those big red oversized chairs and he's interviewing some interesting people. The other nite he had Jan Brewer, Governor of Arizona and she was easily speaking her mind to John. In time I think his show has potential.
Having said that, putting AC in an oversized chair seems to make him seem smaller in relationship to the chair. You have to be careful who sits in what.
It seems to me that there is no passion for the
ReplyDeletenews on CNN. Where is the thirst for what is
happening out there and bringing it to the
masses ? Everyone one needs information.
I can use You Tube and Face Book to track
down better news stories than I see on CNN.
I think that is a huge problem for CNN. In
this day and time you have to utilize various
sources for interesting news items. It can be
a book, magazine and social media there is
no coverage of the arts or music. It is such
a narrow scope of stories they cover. Time
owns a lot of media and CNN needs to
utilize the resources of the media giant
more to it's advantage.
Glad to see Kyra Phillips down in NOLA. First nobody, now Klein decides this is a story. When did Mr.Klein decide to get his talent off their rears and go out to do some real investigative reporting?
ReplyDeleteOh, right about the time Obama decided that maybe this was HIS KATRINA, and HE decided, not to call the gusher a "hole."
The White House press secry Robert Gibbs said in a NYT article that the administartion has learned "You do not get to pick and choose what issues you deal with."
ReplyDeleteWell welcome to reality and the Presidency Mr.Gibbs and President Obama.
Didn't W. face that set of circumstances with Katrina, and everyone accused him of circumventing the ordeal? Well President Obama has his own set of unique circumstances to deal with in the oil spill that seems to be spreading its way towards Bermuda and maybe even towards Europe. Sorry to interrupt your agenda, but the "hole" you minimized by quoting the antics of your 13 year old daughter, just might in fact minimize your Presidency in exactly the same way as your beloved predecessor, George W. Bush.
Here's a hint: When you go to NOLA on Friday do so as Maureen Dowd would say, "Once More With Feeling,"....and get it right this time, with genuine passion, the kind you used as if your Presidency depended upon it, because it does.
I am outraged by Helen Thomas' comments, being of the Jewish faith.
ReplyDeleteThe old bird hasn't lost her mind. She finally said what she felt all along and it slipped out.
I'm glad she lost her front row seat at press conferences. Let someone with a little knowledge about why the Jews had to create their own home land, sit in her seat.
The old bat knows that after WWII, no country she named, Poland, Germany, England, the good old USA, did not want those that were left alive in the labor camps....they were forced to create their own state, and as far as I'm concerned, with a few minor gafs over the years, they've learned to live large in a very devisive part of the world and have asked very little of anyone else in return. Helen got what she deserved, the loss and respect she so wanted and craved all these years....and a quite a few less will cry at her funeral.
