  1. Sad news about the shooting in Arizona. I
am assuming CNN will change their shows
for tonight. It is troubling that all of the
networks reported that Giffords had died
and had to retract. Where is Candy, John,
Wolf, Anderson, Don, etc. This is a really
sad day for the nation. People lost their
    lives today.

  2. Are you happy now CNN. Media companies
have been going with the over the top rhetoric
on all topics. The judge that was killed has been
criticized by right wingers because he forwarded
a civil rights suit by illegal immigrants.CNN seems
to want this. Are they happy now that people are
dead with their overtop rhetoric that they relish
broadcasting. Media companies need to be held
accountable and act responsibly, Ratings are not
worth peoples lives. I know there have been those
of us who have posted that we don't like the
political rhetoric on CNN these days.

  3. The media has blood on it's hands. CNN
and others make choices about what they
put on the air. The sheriff is right about
the role of the media in these killings and
shootings.CNN has been feeding the beast
for months with the anti government rhetoric.
CNN has been giving a platform to crazies for
    more than a year now,

  4. CNN needs to go back to journalism school.
It is clear as the nose on your face form the
gunman's Youtube videos that he hates the
government. CNN is trying to make it seem
as though the political noise they focus on
each day did not play a role. Thank goodness
for social media that is exposing CNN and
all media outlets. At least ABC & others do
understand the language. CNN is trying to
make it seem as though they bare no
responsibility. Keith said it best on
    Countdown.

  5. Don Lemon and Wolf Blitzer did a tremendous job tonite reporting on the tragedy in AZ. They made CNN proud and they should do it more often.
This state, of which I have visited many times, has become absolutely unlawful.
Jan Brewer was crying alligator tears. First she denies the good people of Arizona heart transplants and now, because everyone has the RIGHT TO BARE ARMS, it has become a state of lawlessness.
John McCain is an old man who needs to retire and Jan Brewer isn't fit to lead.

  6. I don't understand why CNN tried to do a left
right segment on a deadly shooting. It is just
wrong CNN. Did they not hear what the sheriff
is saying, Maybe he knows something the media
doesn't know. He spoke of threats against people
and the role of the media.CNN seems to have lost
sight of the fact that people are dead. CNN does
not care about anything but ratings. The ratings
keep heading south because CNN has doubled
down on this exact type of rhetoric.CNN has
become the channel for hate and anger.

  7. Is the fact that this was a political assassination
attempt getting lost on CNN ? How can they
miss let the bodies hit the floor in his You Tube
    videos ?

Sadly, tragic events like this show why you need
real journalists to do news and not talking heads.
It was the cable networks that reported that the
congresswoman died. The big 3 networks were
more responsible. In fact it was Griffords husband
who called the ABC affiliate to let them know
    she had not passed away.

This happened once before when the media
falsely reported that Jim Brady, the Reagan
    press sec'y had died.

I think CNN and the others will have to think
about doing entire shows on the comments
of Sarah Palin, Glen Beck and Rush Limbaugh.
It is an entire series on CNN. Why is it even
elevated to be called a news story.CNN can
not give Sarah Palin a pass on this. Just this
week she was at it again with the over the
top comments.360 even engaged in the
same thing all week long during their special
editions. The media does not get a free pass
either. Doesn't Ken Jautz want CNN to up
this type of talk for ratings? Nobody in their
right mind watches all of this crap on cable
news. Who does CNN think is eating this
up ? 2 words : media accountability. CNN
is right in the middle of this and no matter
how they try to keep people from seeing
the sheriff's comments about the media,
people will see it. CNN can't control this.
They are a part of the problem.

  8. I agree about Don Lemon and Wolf Blitzer
Both are class acts. That said, I do think
CNN is forgetting about the victims. Have
you seen the beautiful picture of the 9 yr
who sadly was killed, To hear her parents
is so heartbreaking. That innocent child
was born on 9/11. You've got a judge and
others who lives were lost.I am watching
This Week and I must say ABC has the best
coverage. Somehow they found people to
talk about the gunman and it turns out he
had an encounter with Rep Giffords. I
know I heard the sheriff say they don't
believe this guy acted alone and they have
released a picture. Let's not forget about
the letter bombs this week. Something
is going on and I think we know so little
right now. All of these events happened
in one week.CNN needs Wolf Blitzer and
Don Lemon, Candy and the pros to handle
their coverage. Don't bring the pundits
into the mix. That is an insult and does
not reflect the seriousness about what
has happened.CNN really needs to bring
in their top journalists this week for
coverage. Put the professionals on CNN
in prime time this week. This is a big
news story. Instead of Parker Spitzer,
why can't Wolf and Don be on CNN in
prime time when it comes to CNN's
coverage of this tragic event. I'm a little
concerned that CNN is running taped
programming. This is truly breaking news
    that deserves extend coverage.

  9. Amen Joe Klein. I have always admired his
journalism and I am wondering why can't
Jim Walton bring him in to run CNN. Don't
tell me that there is no audience for serious
news when it is not being done. CNN should
never have sunk to the lows it has when in
comes to the news.CNN needs to get this
through their skull. This is not a left vs
    right matter. C'mon CNN .

    ReplyDelete
  10. I think CNN's coverage is heading in the wrong
direction. Show some respect for the victims
CNN. Now is not the time for the left & right
to be given airtime to point the finger at each
other. CNN will always follow the noise and not
the news. CNN just can't help themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  11. This IS the time to point fingers left or right, because the AZ situation, was caused by the toxic environment in which the residents of Arizona find themselves confronted and engulfed in.
When you are represented by John McCain, who is too OLD to govern, and who introduced us to Toxic, Sarah, as his running mate, whose only claim to fame slogan BECAME: TAKE BACK AMERICA, and Republican Governor Jan Brewer, than yes, as AC, would say, it is time to "hold these folks accountable," for the violent atmosphere that is now dominating that Western State.

  12. Have you guys noticed the new CNN graphics
look. Just glanced so far. Not really seen a full
show yet, but the banner and everything seems
to line up. Let's see if they still obscure video.
