  1. If the rumors about Mubarak are true, I'm
wondering will AC be heading back to Egypt
sometime to day. Not sure how long the flight
will be but I am thinking AC wants to be live
    by tomorrow.

  2. CNN needs to be live all night long and no
taped shows. If they are smart, they can't go
with Parker Sptizer at 8. Go with a special
edition of 360. This story is now a major
league event. Bring in Wolf Blitzer, John King
Isha Sesay and others from CNN International
and be out in the crowds with the people who
made this happen. Now that it is apparent that
Mubarak will resign go with your best. Wolf,
John and people at CNN International know the
players and the people well. They know the
right questions to ask and will clearly
    understand what is happening..No pundits.
For the last couple of days the pundits have
been running their mouths and are wrong
yet again. There was a plan being worked
out behind the scenes that made this
possible. You can bet the White House
knew this was coming. Media speculation
needs to stop just go with the facts.360
at 8 would perform a heck of a lot better
    than Parker Spitzer.

  3. What is unfolding in Egypt is history in motion
playing out on live television. This is a potential
history breaking day for CNN. Do they want to
win and have the best hands down coverage or
waste time trying to boost Parker Spitzer &
Piers Morgan? It is simple go with the journalists
who people trust to make sense of it all. I do
have a question : will it be Tony Maddox or
Ken Jautz running the show. I think whoever
has Jim Walton's trust on this will be calling
the shots on CNN's coverage. I would think
Jim Walton knows if you can watch history in
motion you want your coverage to be the
best and rememberable or just average.
Yes the news is the star.

  4. CNN will be a distant 4th or 5th real soon.
CNN has just hired 3 more pundits. CNN
is so poorly managed. Does CNN really
need any more talking heads ? News is
    out at CNN.

  5. TV By the Numbers has the ratings for last
night, judging from those ratings the last
thing CNN needs is more pundits. Do they
think Parker Spitzer is doing that well that
the need more talking heads.CNN just went
over the cliff.CNN already has 4 hours of
political shows and unless there is news
like Egypt their ratings are horrible.CNN
just does not get what the viewers are
trying to tell them. What does it take.
Looking at the numbers for the Last
Word, CNN will not be able to catch
MSNBC at 8. In fact it seems Lawrence
is pulling away. What will it take for
CNN to finally cancel Parker Spitzer.

  6. Lawrence O'Donnell has a really interesting way of presenting content. I've watched him several times now that he is on at 8PM and he is truly compelling to listen to and he doesn't have the same thing every nite.
The nite before he had Bill Maher on and he didn't cater to him, he was direct, but he got his point across.
MSNBC has a better position in ratings because their management seems to know their talent and their strong points. Obviously they felt O'Donnell could pull in a million on his own at 8 and they were right.
CNN doesn't have a clue who can do what.

  7. That is true about MSNBC. MSNBC has fresh
ideas and smart people who are factual. The
suits at CNN are clearly delusional. When the
ratings come out tomorrow Fox will clobber
CNN in prime time. The only bright spot will
be 360. CNN clearly thinks so little of it's
viewers and that is why CNN will not grow
and is in the midst of disaster. How can
anyone think pundits are the future and
can save CNN. Nobody watches CNN for
    pundits.

  8. Recently, I started watching 360 again because
of the Egypt crisis. Once 360 gets back to those
ridiculous pundit panels I won't watch again. You
just can't take CNN seriously these days. Current
TV has a better game plan than CNN.

  9. Oprah was on Morning Joe this morning &
it was amazing what she said about MJ's
show being more about conversation &
info and that is why she watches the show.
They also had Tom Brokaw there as well
and they talked about how opinion seems
to get people on tv rather than real info.
CNN has painted itself into a corner with
a circus atmosphere and what the ratings
keep heading south. Good riddance to
CNN and I was once a fan.I find it ironic
that Joe can decide he won't take the low
road on his show and no one at CNN can
say I am not doing that. Wake up. CNN
is now being run by Ken Jautz. Just look
at what he did to HLN. Do you see Thomas
Roberts, Richard Lui or Chuck Roberts ?
Already you see signs that Jautz is making
CNN a bigger joke than it already is.
Crime & celebrities are big on CNN these
    days. Sound familiar.

  10. First CNN gets Red State and now people
from Breitbart. CNN seems to be heading
for the right and not thinking about it's
viewers. Now management is turning CNN
    over to propaganda. Big mistake.

  11. CNN lacks a loyal viewing audience.
My guess is that more viewers watched FOX on the 11th than CNN.
CNN can't just wait for the next disaster to strike, they have to start refreshing their content on every program and on every show.
The protest in Egypt and the fall of Mubarak possibly drew huge numbers for both channels, but audiences get restless and you can't spend hours upon hours showing the same photos of the crowds cheering.
Unfortunately, in this age where everything is fast, our attention spans are short and we are on to the next best thing. We are fickle so loyality is a must.

  12. Caught a bit of TJ and Kira this morning oh my, what a snooze, lose team.
No, together there is zero chemistry. Someone has to pair these again with different partners and TJ seemed really awkward in her presense.
I've watched him alone and he is one to watch, but with her, they are sooo boring.
Also caught Erica Hill on CBS, this morning, and someone must tell her not to wear skirts above her knees. She looks best in long skirts and pants like she wore on 360. What she wore today made her look very matronly and we know she's not.

  13. Seems some have taken offense in the print media that Anderson called Mubarak a "liar."
I too, feel that name calling was not the most professional way to put it.
I do like his commentaries on 360, but is was unnessary to overdo the liar bit, especially if he ever wants to maintain his obective image and return to Egypt.

  14. 360 better get up to speed and fast with new content, content that we're actually interested in.
For two nites in a row, the Ed Show has beaten AC in total viewers.
While I realize viewers are fickle, Ed isn't exactly that captivating to either listen to or watch, so something is wrong somewhere.
AC360 found it difficult to beat O'Donnell, repeats of Olbermann, and now the Ed Show. This should be a concern for someone who is looking to go syndicated with a talk show and an entirely different audience.

  15. So sorry to hear about Lara Logan.
According to the NYPost she had been in Egypt and was warned about her stay, and then flew back to Washington.
She returned to Egypt on an assignment for 60 Minutes and then was lost from her team, even though she had returned with security.
CBS tried to keep the story quiet, but today, nothing is a secret and Logan, is seems, was seriously assaulted and called anti-semetic names, to add insult to injury.
    A totally sad story.
We wish her well and a speedy recovery.
