Awards and State of the News

Back in January I posted that CNN was nominated for several GLAAD awards. The ceremony was held on March 17 and CNN came away with two awards.

*Outstanding TV Journalism – News Segment: "The First Casualty" Anderson Cooper 360 (CNN)
*Outstanding Digital Journalism – Multimedia: "Uncovering America: Fighting for Acceptance" (CNN.com)

Congratulations to CNN on these awards. For a full list of GLAAD awards winners, follow the link. http://www.glaad.org/media/release_detail_nc.php?id=4290

I came across a really interesting report that was released this week entitled “The State of the News 2008”. It is a really interesting read about the major cable networks. It is sort of long but very detailed. To read the report just follow the link. http://www.stateofthenewsmedia.org/2008/narrative_cabletv_intro.php?cat=0&media=7

That’s it for me tonight. I want to wish all our readers a lovely Easter weekend.
