It has been a while since I've had to say this, but last week FOX swept the primetime ratings in the Adults 25 - 54 demographic. During the 8PM hour, they won the timeslot all five nights. At 9PM they had the top ratings on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. At 10PM, they received the top ratings on Thursday and Friday.

CNN remained in fourth during the 8PM hour, but on Thursday night the program came in second. The 9PM timeslot rating changed on a daily basis. First place on both Tuesday and Friday. Second place on Thursday. Third place on Monday and Wednesday. The 10PM hour saw some inconsistency as well with a second place finish for the week. The program came in first place on Tuesday and Wednesday. Second place on Thursday and Friday. Monday night saw the program in fourth place.

MSNBC only saw a primetime win on one night with the highest demographic rating at 10PM on Monday night. At 8PM & 9PM, they had the second highest average rating. During the 10PM hour, MSNBC placed fourth.

HLN found themselves in third place during both 8PM and 10PM. For the 9PM timeslot, they remained in fourth place.

CNN.com Live has been a popular place today. Here is some preliminary information on just how busy they have been:

According to early data, as of 1p ET today, CNN.com Live served more than 18.8 million live video streams globally since 6a, shattering its all time total daily streaming record set on Election Day with 5.3 million live streams. (Source: Omniture SiteCatalyst, global). Additionally, CNN.com Live served 1.3 million concurrent live streams during its peak, which occurred immediately prior to President Obama’s inaugural address. Happy 40th Birthday (January 21st) to CNN political director Sam Feist.

Feist was named vice president of Washington-based programming earlier this year. He oversees all programming based out of the Washington bureau, including The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer, State of the Union with John King and political specials (in addition to being CNN's political director).

  1. CNN needs to really fix their programming.
Dobbs and Brown can not continue to be
a downer for the network. Please act before
it is too late.CNN should have dared to be
different instead of trying to be FNC.CNN
needs some serious intervention before it
is too late.CNN is missing golden ops here.
For the 1st time kids are even following the
president. So why not a kids Saturday morning
news program for the tween market. CNN should
really reach out to viewers and use the AC360
blog as a destination for viewers to submit
stories. Let someone like Erica be involved
since she once worked at Tech TV. CNN needs
to take a cue from President Obama and engage
the public and let CNN viewers become contributors
to the news on a daily basis. CNN has a worldwide
reach so they need to really be the world's
news leader by revolutionizing news in the 21st
century. I think CNN should have multiple female
reporters who work at CNN on in the hour for
Campbell Brown's program is you have 3 women,
you are bound to like one of them as opposed to
being turned off by a solo anchor. One night you
could have Candy,Alina and Zain. Other nights
Christiane, Betty and Fredericka and females from
CNNI and CNN Espanol as well. A news programs
with females would be a hit. Especially when you
change the anchors and reporters each week.
Surrounding Cambpell with other females from
CNN for the hour might actually save her program.
But first and foremost CNN had better move Lou
    Dobbs from prime time.
