Nicole Lapin to CNBC

Yesterday, CNBC announced that former CNN anchor Nicole Lapin would be anchoring "Worldwide Exchange". The Business Insider posted an article about the move:

CNBC just announced that it has scored Nicole Lapin as an anchor on CNBC’s “Worldwide Exchange” based in the U.S.

Lapin had been one of the youngest anchors in the country, and possibly the youngest anchor ever on CNN. She was born on March 7, 1984. That makes her just 25.

She attended Harvard when she was just 15, studied European Union politics at Institut d`Études Politiques de Paris, and graduated as valedictorian from Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism.

CNBC’s "Worldwide Exchange" is the show that’s on before Squawk Box, airing Monday through Friday from 4 AM to 6 AM. It has anchors in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Ross Westgate sits in London and Christine Tan sits in Singapore. Lapin will run the U.S. desk. CNBC says that its the only business show with anchors on three continents.

  1. Why does CNN refuse to promote their up and
comers who represent the next generation of
news people. First Erica and now this.It is good
that they are leaving CNN. This reminds me of
the situation at NBC with Conan and Leno. The
suits made bone-headed decisions and expect
for people to take it.I don't know who is the
worst network executive right now: Jon Klein
or Jeff Zucker. IMHO they both messed up and
should be let go.Go Team Conan.I am with
him for revolting against management. I only
wish someone at CNN had his backbone.
