Walk In My Shoes

In an excellent series of interviews with at-risk-youths TJ Holmes examined the causes of youth-on-youth violence across the country for American Morning.

Monday:
In part one of the series, "Walk in My Shoes," Holmes talked to one of the teens who participated in the brawl that left a 16-year-old boy dead.

Tuesday:
Part two examines “Why do teens fight?” Holmes talked with a group of teens who say acts of violence help to protect their reputations.

Wednesday:
In part three Holmes traveled with two students in Chicago and witnessed some of the threats these teens face going to and from school.

Thursday:
In the last installment of this series, Holmes talked to specialists about the teenage brain. Teen’s brains are still developing, so if put in a volatile situation, their processing of that situation results many times in overreaction or misinterpretation of the situation.

  1. I think CNN should move TJ,Betty & Reynolds
to the weekly schedule. Put Heidi and Tony
back together and call it the CNN Newsroom.
Next up, TJ,Betty & Reynolds with a new show
and different title. Still have Kyra on in her time
slot, but call the show something like Pushing
Forward, which is what she says when coming
on the air following Tony.CNN needs energy
and chemistry dayside and they need look no
farther than the morning weekend team.

  2. I say give Kyra Phillips and John Roberts a show of their own! The chemistry alone would move up the ratings.
TJ Holmes should replace Steve Perry as the "educational consultant," which he's not. As far as youth orientation, TJ is much more aware of what's going on in the inner city, so let HIM be the one to report on it on 360...enough Steve Perry for 2010!

  3. Maybe John can join Kyra on her show.
    They are really good together.
