  1. Thanks for the info. Chad Myers and the
professor are doing a great job expalining
    it all.

  2. Nic Robertson also tweeted that he is heading to Chile.

  3. I am upset CNN has just brought in Rick
    Sanchez, going to Fox

  4. I don't mean to sound mean but CNN please
get Sanchez off the air. There was not need
for him to be on the weather set with Jacki.
You have a professor who knows his stuff
as well as Chad Myers. This is serious we
don't need a circus. Finally, they switched
to KITV from Hawaii. This is not a time for
silliness. What happened to Josh Levs ?

  5. Why did Rick Sanchez yell at the doctor
from GA Tech. Finally someone wised up
and took him off the set.He has just shown
he needs to gone from the network. There
is no excuse for that.I noticed that it is now
Fredericka,Jaqui & Josh. As it should have
been all day long. It is spreading in social
media how Rick Sanchez made CNN look
    absolutely stupid.Jaqui looked completely
in shock. It was not the doctor who did
not know what he is talking about, it was
    Rick Sanchez.

  6. Mediaite said it best Sanchez treated
Fred, Jaqui and the professor like a
group of 9 year olds that should not
be on CNN.It was condescending and
Jon Klein owes Fred and Jaqui a huge
apology. He was so disrespectful and
rude to his colleagues.Sanchez is the
one who should not be on CNN. The
nerve of this jerk. I felt really bad
for Jaqui who had to be in the middle
of all of that nonsense. If this is not
a wake up call to CNN nothing will be.
I want to know who made the dumb
decision to bring him in anyway?

  7. I've said it before and I will say it again. CNN
should NEVER haver Rick Sanchez doing breaking
    news.Fredericka & Jaqui looked uncomfortable
the whole time he was there. Once Sanchez
was gone, they seemed more relieved. Spud
over at ICN says his jaw hit the floor. It was
a complete meltdown in front of the world.
The suits could not have been watching the
channel all day long because if Spud and
others noticed this, they should've as well.
It made CNN look bad.I just hope the 2
of them are not dragged down by his
    overtop antics.

  8. Finally CNN brought in Don Lemon. I was
wondering why he was not around earlier.
Clearly Rick was trying to intimidate the
female anchors. Somehow I think CNN
was going to have Rick on in prime time
but once this happened they changed the
game plan. All over the web people are
talking about all of the crazy moments
involving him and why it took so long
for CNN to yank him off the set.
Apparently he had no idea where Hawaii
is.CNN is a laughing stock all over the
    web.Sanchez ruin CNN's coverage.

  9. TO ALL: I posted this earlier that Rick didn't even know where Hawaii was when he was at the map with Jacki. He thought Hawaii was off the coast of Chile. Get that idiot off the air! I agree with you all. I think they were using him because he was bi-lingual but so is Geraldo Rivera...and he's no anchor or journalist.

  10. Josh Levs is the one who needs to be on for
2 hours during the week.Levs does some
good stuff about the web and this is a
franchise that should be on everyday.
A news program based on news form
social media and the web. Right now there
is nothing like this on cable news.
Levs has shown how he can be responsible
during breaking news. Of course you need
to pair him with a couple of others who
work at CNN. This is the type of show
that needs to be on before the Sit Room.
Perhaps a couple of people from CNN.com.
Tomorrow is the being of March and
no Olympics so this time we will likely
get a more accurate reading on CNN.
I think Don Lemon is good with social
    media as well.

  11. If someone at CNN is ever smart enough to
give Josh Levs a show, I hope they have him
on with Eroll Barnett from CNN International.
There is also a lady that comes on an talk
about news on the web with Tony Harris.
Or course CNN.com rocks. Rick Sanchez
is an idiot and CNN management must be
made up of bigger idiots for letting this
guy work for CNN. There was a translator
for Betty and Rob and Raphael Romo was
in the building and there is CNN Espanol.
They really didn't need for him to be
    involved in the coverage.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Someone in management thinks that Rick stupid Sanchez, assilmilates to both cultures. He doesn't speak English with an accent and grew up in Miami. My view, he's an idiot that insults both cultures.
Another idiot that hasn't made it to the anchor chair yet is Steve Perry, who I utterly dislike intensely.... the CNN educational "expert on nonsense." I've already sent two negative e-mails to CNN about him and I urge all other educators to do the same.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Jon Klein should have listened to the people
in DC.CNN is really taking a beating for this
one. If management were really watching,
they would have noticed how bad he made
CNN look.As Mo Rocca tweeted. Rick Sanchez
has got to go.I have a theory. Maybe the reason
he could not find Hawaii on the map is because
he is clueless about South America and
that he is from Cuba. Majority of the Latinos
in America are from South America and not
Cuba. But CNN is stupid enough to think
he can have broad appeal in the Latino
community. It is not a monolithic community.
A lot of the programs on Spanish language
television comes form Mexico. Go to the
Spanish language stations in California to
find people of have broad appeal in the
    Latino community.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Guess what? It doesn't have to be a guy. Soledad O'Brien has broad appeal and was Cuban born, with an Afro-American parent. Now that's broad appeal and it is the reason she is on her way to Chile and Rick Stupid Sanchez isn't.

    ReplyDelete
  15. CNN has an entire network of people who
speak Spanish they work for CNN Espanol.
Sanchez is on the air because Jon Klein
does not know how to run a cable news
channel. What are they going to do now
when there is breaking news during the
day. Once John King's show gets off and
running let's hope CNN will think about
giving Wolf back his 3 hr time slot.CNN
now has a huge credibility issue. When
you tune in for breaking news you
expect to see people who know what
they are talking about. Now everyone
is asking how did this guy even make
it into the building. This just shows
how much CNN has lowered their
    journalistic standards.CNN management
should have never made that dumb
    decision in the first place.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I feel completely and utterly vindicated....and so should the rest of you who have commented about the failure of Rich Sanchez to anchor. Jon Stewart slammed him to bits and called him the uninformant! He showed him at the map NOT finding Hawaii!! Check out Mediarite.com or TVNewser for the clip...also Huffpost. Hope he disappears for good now...just like the rest of the herd Stewart slaps.

    ReplyDelete
  17. At some point CNN will have to address the
problem that is Rick Sanchez. Remember
these are the same people who thought
Lou Dobbs ranting about illegal immigration
would be good television.CNN needs to take
off the blinders. They need to get rid of Rick
Sanchez before it is way to late as they did
with Dobbs.CNN seems to be committed to
torturing viewers by having Rick Sanchez
and Ali Velshi. I an joining the hit the remote
revolt because these 2 are just plain bad.
For 20 hours I will not tune in to CNN.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Even Dobbs was better than Sanchez. You might not have agreed with him, but he knew his "stuff."
This guy doesn't know basic material. You must see this entire clip from Stewart.
Ali has not been in lately. What's up with that I wonder...not that he's much better than Sanchez. He's just not anchor material.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I have a prediction. Rick & Ali will not make
it through 2010. There are some stats on
TVN about Rick's List CNN is taking a big
hit since the dayside anchor changes.
Unfortunately, Rick made a fool of himself
today by calling Stewart his # 1 fan. Now
that the Olympics are out of the way it
is different .CNN bounced back some in
prime time but people just don't seem to
be into Larry King these days.CNN needs
to come up with a Nightline type show in
the prime time lineup even with the return
of Leno Nightline had 4.1 million viewers.
There is a lesson to be learned here for
CNN since Nightline is becoming very
    popular with 18-49 yr olds.
