  1. CNN must stay up nites thinking of ways they can torture viewers. How boring can we make it? How many times can we show the same segment and splice it? How lazy can we become?
AC continues to be off about 300,000 in the demos, and when you can't beat someone that looks like Greta, what is to be said and let's not even talk totals.
Lastly is AC360 even promoting his live show or what? CNN never sticks with anything. Try it once, if it doesn't stick, we'll just give up???

  2. TVN has an interesting poll as to who will fill Campbell's seat. Since everyone in this slot has failed, the list just has too much potential so you know CNN wouldn't choose anyone from it. My guess, maybe someone new, someone without a pulse.

  3. Things don't look any better this week for CNN.
At some point CNN will get what their viewers
keep trying to tell them. We are so over the
pundits. We want news and information not
hours of useless chatter. CNN had better get
the message fast and not hire any more pundits
and lessen their air time. Last night CNN was
just plain awful. If this was such an important
night in politics, where was live coverage of'
the speeches ? Apparently CNN thinks their
pundits matter more than the events do.
You expect me to set my dvr for this?
Where were the stories last night on CNN ?
The war in Afghanistan has now claimed
the lives of 1,000 Americans,a 7 yr old
girl is shot dead in her own house by
police in Detroit & it seems it might have
all been done for A & E, political turmoil
in Thailand. If CNN has yet to get the
message that viewers are sick of the
political partisans taking over the news
by now they never will. CNN must make
radical changes to get back in the game
and knock it off with pundit fest.CNN's
ratings for last night don't surprise me
at all.I took 360 off the dvr for the rest
of the week. CNN is not fearless and
will not stand up for journalism. If CNN
wants to live in the ideological universe,
they do so at their own risk, What happened
to standards at CNN ? Your viewers deserve
better, so quit dissing us and acting like
we don't matter more than the talking
    heads.

  4. CNN will blow it and go with Rick Sanchez
and CNN will never recover. Just look at the
ratings for Friday.Sanchez would get worse
ratings than Brown. If this happens I know
that CNN is not serious about fixing it's
problems and CNN will lose me as a viewer.
You would not believe the number of people
that CNN has alienated by going with Rick
Sanchez for 2 hours. He is making CNN a
laughing stock and so many people don't
feel the least bit sorry for CNN and feel
they are getting exactly what they deserve
for making bad hiring decisions. Does
    management even have a clue?

  5. It is 2010 and CNN can not have all men in
prime time.If they are not looking at women
to replace Campbell Brown on CNN shame on
them. Rachel Maddow made all of the difference
at MSNBC and was able to overtake Larry King
    rather quickly.CNN's shabby treatment of
female anchors is troubling. CNN needs some
fresh faces. The Ling Sisters were on Larry
King tonight. Lisa Ling would be a great pick
and has journalistic chops.Mariana Van Zeller
did the interview on Current. Mariana is one
of the best reporters hands down her work
is simply amazing. Van Zeller would be a
great replacement for Christiane. In fact
next week she has a Vanguard documentary
on the anti-gay legislation in Uganda and
the previews get your attention.CNN needs
a fresh face for the hour.

  6. What is really interesting is that
CNN is now promoting LKL and his guest list, over and over but there has been little promotion for the LIVE AUDIENCE/taped AC360. You would think that they'd be hammering away at it and its Tuesday nite and yet nothing new on the horizon about it. Promotion sells or have they become disenchanted with this idea already?

  7. I say go with TJ Holmes,. He is a 30-something,
smart, a really good interviewer and has a
personality that lights up the screen. Come up
with an original show and a format that works,
It may not be a bad idea for CNN to have Tj
live out of Atlanta each night at 8 for a look
unlike the NY studio with 360 at 10, When it
comes to Vaguard it shows me what CNN
should be,I also like the new slogan for CNN I,
news without borders. If Current has 4 people
that are story chasers CNN must have dozens
who should be story chasers. This is the 1st
show people will see in the prime time lineup.
It sets the tone for the whole night. It must
be someone that I will enjoy watching each
night. If it is more of the same and nothing
    new , it will be a failure.TJ at 8 , AC at 10
would be a good thing. It is just something
about these 2 and they are both likable.
I think a show with women will work at 9.
Larry king will likely retire later this year
and that gives CNN time to come up with
a news show for women, Keep Larry at
9 until he calls it a career and treat him
with respect. Then have the show with
women ready to go. Having a sharp and
smart 30-something proved to be a hit
right of the gates for MSNBC.CNN please
give TJ a show at 8 and see what happens.
Even go with the playlist like they do on
the weekends.Tj also does a good job
handling breaking news. I think having
both TJ & Anderson will do wonders for
CNN in the demo and can make them
competitive. It is time for a new style and
a new breed of journalists at CNN.
You are not bound by ideology or pro
vs con and fake debate. It is informative
and makes you think and there is nothing
like it on the planet because you find out
about it first on CNN and you won;t see
it anywhere else.No limits and the camera
helps us bare witness to the events right
before our eyes. Let's see if CNN can get
Kevin Costner to come on the show.
Apparently BP is testing a device his
company created to deal with oil spills.

  8. This is Thursday May 20th. Do we know if there was a LIVE taping for 360?

  9. Well CNN reached a new low last nite. Larry King barely got 400,000
or 85 in his demo and AC just did slightly better.
I guess NO ONE is all that interested in old news just because Laura and Lisa Ling are promoting their new book. Yes, we're glad you're home Laura, and we're glad you're close, but we really don't want a rehash of the ordeal. Some ordeals stay with us and some don't. Larry got hammered.
Maybe I'll borrow the book from the library....if they buy a copy.
The real problem with the show was, they didn't NEED an entire hour!!

  10. CNN is about to hit rock bottom.NYT is
reporting that CNN is going with another
political pov show right after Jon King.
Down goes CNN. Why does Jon Klein still
have a job at CNN ? Klein is the man who
ruined CNN and they just keep letting him
damage the brand name.CNN is no longer
hiring journalists only pundits need apply.
CNN is no longer in the league with BBC
Bloomberg or the big 3.An hour filled with
lies. Real nice CNN. real nice.

  11. If Dish is dropping The Weather Channel, according to TVN, does that mean they're dropping CNN too?
    They get the same ratings.

  12. Poor Campbell. She wrote her own obituary by telling everyone she was leaving so now no one, I mean NO one, is watching her. She scored a 98 in her dismal time slot.
Speaking of dismal, most of the line up wasn't that bright, AC rated the highest but he's slowly sinking. He might just do better with a super new talk show called PANEL OF CELEBRITIES. Now that fits what he's been looking for...a panel plus celebs. If it doesn't work he can turn into a game show like he did last week. The next Merv Griffin in the making.
