We would be remiss if we didn't point out some of the follow-ups to the firing of Rick Sanchez.
First is David Letterman's Top Ten from Monday night:
Jon Stewart had a little to say on the subject:
And finally, former CNN senior producer Chez Pazienza worked with Sanchez at CNN and has know him for more than 20 years. Here's a bit of his take on the newsman:
As a local anchor, he was brilliant -- really, the best I've ever seen. That's because he understood that television on the whole was largely bullshit and that local news -- particularly the kind done so well at WSVN in Miami -- was just a lot of superficial dazzle. He figured if you could talk and talk well, what you were saying wouldn't really matter. He deserves credit for what one producer we used to work with together jokingly called his unique ability to "demystify television."

Sorry, but this commenter has had more than enough of Mr.Sanchez's
"demystifying" anything other than himself.
If he thought that what he was telling viewers was BS, than he should donate the proceeds of his huge salary to the poor.
Rick Sanchez needs a reality check. Wolf
Blitzer lost an hour to a moron and the
worst anchor on cable news thinks he is
all that. Rick Sanchez had opportunity
after opportunity on CNN. His show was
crappy and so were his ratings. What a
jerk. Thank goodness he got fired. He
is a bigot and a racist period and now
the world knows the truth about Sanchez.
Stop with the excuses for the jerk. Tj
Holmes and Don Lemon stand head and
shoulders above this jerk and they are
not even permitted on CNN in prime
time. Rick you are a horrible news
anchor and not too bright. Your own
arrogance brought you down. Women
don't have shows in prime time on CNN
either. Go away dude. Nobody cares.
