President George W. Bush will sit down with CNN anchor and chief political correspondent Candy Crowley in one of the few interviews he has granted since leaving the White House. In December 2008, Crowley conducted one of President Bush’s last interviews before he left the White House. She will check in with the former president two years later on the struggling U.S. economy, the ongoing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and his new book, “Decision Points.” Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush will join his brother in the second half of the interview to discuss their father, their upbringing and the current political landscape.

I really don't like CNN doing crime on
ReplyDeletethe weekends. With all of the problems
going on at the network, why are they
messing around with the weekend?

CNN has some real issues with promos. The
ReplyDeletelatest ad I saw while watching says be heard.
As if ;you need CNN to get your voice out in
the Digital Age. Wow so there is no Facebook,
Youtube, Twitter, live streaming or a way for
people to have their own broadband channel.
CNN has to stop thinking like old media. Same
thing goes for the silly promo taking shots at
Fox & MSNBC.CNN's promos should focus on
their resources to bring you the news and the
original reporting they could get if they would
actually let their reporters hit the streets from
all around the world. I have noticed CNN I is
way better at promos. Dr Gupta is doing a
series called 'Urban Planet' on CNN i. How
come we get crappy programming in the US.

think it is because of Ken Jautz now running
CNN. Jautz is responsible for HLN going
heavy with crime.CNN has no idea how to
do real news. Right now CNN shows are just
bad and not worth watching.CNN is too
pundit heavy and you can't get any decent
news in 24 hours.
I would like to see CNN give us some international

Lemon. Move shows like What the Week to 11.
Everything is global and CNN has an advantage
that the others simply can not compete with,yet
you would never know it from watching CNN.
CNN has to start bringing us the world. This
would be one way for CNN to bring in younger
viewers. Fareed Zakaria is becoming one of my
favs. There is nothing like his show on cable
news.I really don't understand why Americans
can't see more of CNN International. Let's see
Asia,Africa, Europe, Canada, South America
Australia, you name it. Journalism should
have no borders or limits.In the beginning
I was thinking about the weekends but the
same thing can be done in the morning, day
and night on a daily basis on CNN.
CNN will never give you international news in primetime. It just doesn't get the ratings and Americans for the most part are not interested in what takes place globally unless it impacts on their world.

In reference to the home invasion in Conn. this is where our system of justice fails. Why do these two monsters need a trial? It's a waste of taxpayer money. They are guilty as the day is long. Both should be sentenced to death.

Why go through the long process?
The outcome is the same.
The family is dead....even death by electricution, for these two, is a far better fate than a public hanging and torture.
It is a myth that people don't care about

followed the protests in Iran & other global
news stories are widely followed on Twitter
or Face Book & You Tube because you can't
get it from cable news.CNN has never had a
prime time international news show.CNN
has the mindset of the 20th century, Ted
Turner always intended for CNN to be global.
Younger viewers want global news, How else
are you going to compete with the world if
you have no idea what is happening outside
of the US. You will have a lot of trouble
getting jobs since so many of our top
American companies now pull millions from
overseas sales.It is the new reality,Japan,
South Korea & India among many other
nations in Asia & Africa offer internships.
Some are even actively recruiting US
students to come and teach English.
Anything is better than Parker Spitzer and

talk about the ratings for John King. I'd say
a show like News Stream would top John
King in the ratings.
2011 is drawing to a close. In 2 weeks the
ReplyDeleteyear will basically end. Traditionally after
Thanksgiving people don't watch much tv.
It will be interesting to see if 360 gets a
bump from the animal intelligence series.
CNN has to figure out a way out of their
ratings funk.If there are changes coming
it will happen in the 1st quarter which
would be by March.
@10:14AM: It is not a myth that Americans know far less about the international world, than their counter persons in foreign countries.

Every European nation is taught English as well as their native language. They are expected to be bi-lingual.
In the US some can't even master English. We are a disgrace and culturally we are getting worse.
