  1. CNN is finished and they did it to themselves.

  2. The NyPost is reporting that Ms Parker is a "diva," who carries her small dog, either on her lap or her pocketbook for EVERY taping of the ill conceived Parker/Spitzer fiasco.
I'm beginning to feel sorry for the former Governor.
Who IS this person to be that demanding even when the show is tanking?
And speaking of tanking, 360 seems to be losing its appeal. I don't know if AC is spreading himself too thin, lately, no pun intended, or Charlie Moore is no better at being executive producer than David Doss. Whatever the reason, not that many people seem to care...including AC.

  3. Vlalimir Putin might have hit on something. Why is Larry leaving?
Well we in the USA know from Larry's ratings, which were lower than Parker/Spitzer that particular nite, is the real reason "the King is leaving." But why indeed.
His replacement will certainly not do any better ratings wise. I know I wouldn't be watching and there are hundreds, maybe thousands, right behind me.
While CNN may be hoping that those who tuned into LK every nite, with great anticipation, will be the same viewing audience that will accept a replacement, I know that LK cannot be replaced.

  4. That is a good question about Larry King.
Why is Parker Spitzer basically being given
a pass for bad ratings. Nothing will make
people watch an hour of Crossfire by a
different name.I think it is the content on
    360. There is no excuse for an hourlong
show not having at least 3 packages or
special reports and something like the
John Legend interview on education. Legend
is someone who walks the walk. The pundits
& talking heads have replaced what was once
good solid news content on the show,3
shows that have to be fixed right now is
John King, USA. I never thought it was a
good idea to have an hourlong political show
after 2 hrs of TSR. Frankly, Parker Spitzer &
Piers Morgan have no place on CNN.360
is not great these days, but it does seem
to have some following. At some point CNN
has to understand by abandoning their
forte which is news in prime time they are
losing viewers. There is no news for 180
minutes in CNN prime time. Creativity &
innovation is what is sorely missing in
cable news. Putin is right. You don't just
replace an broadcast legend like Larry King
with a realy show jerk.CNN will come to
regret the Piers Morgan decision. Just like
Parker Spitzer has lead to Countdown's
ratings increases, TRMS will easily have
a huge ratings boom and CNN will have
dismal ratings lower than the pathetic
    numbers.

  5. I don't understand why 360 did not talk more
about the Wikileaks Afghan revelations or the
Nasa story. I have no problem with the DADT
segment at the top. The wrong stories are
being highlighted for segments. The Rangel
story should have just been a reader in the
360 bulletin. The original 360 needs to return.
I don't understand why they decided to make
the pace of the show slower. I even want the
cool bump music and the nth degree. Maybe
for hour 2 of 360 they can air some tapped
segments, like an international news headline
segment with Isha Sesay. Make the segment
    conversational. Isha could say something
like got some global news for you & the
viewers Anderson. Did you know, did you
hear about , did you see this. That would
be a way for Anderson to talk with Isha
about the stories. Pick something like
Radiohead's Reckoner. Let it run for like
10 minutes. Heck even the 1st hour.

  6. CNN is poorly managed. That is the problem.
Why would any serious news executive give
prime time shows to Elliot Spitaer, Kathleen
Parker or Piers Morgan ? CNN apparently likes
being 4th.MSNBC soared past CNN when they
stopped going with left vs right all 3 hours in
prime time. Keith, Rachel & Lawrence shows
look more focused because of the solo interview.
CNN is incapable of doing news without a left
vs right commentary after the show.I am not
sure which decision is dumber. Parker Spitzer
or Piers Morgan. No serious news channel
can do this is prime time. I am thinking come
2011, CNN will be barely getting 100,000 in
the demo.CNN might have lost viewers who
won't come back.CNN is not a news channel.
If you think the backlash is bad for Parker
Spitzer, wait until you see the response to
Piers Morgan. People are preparing to send
CNN a very strong negative response.

  7. Some of the backlash is already affecting 360. The content this week was terrible and the ratings weren't much better. Yes, AC still has a following, but just like myself, you can take just so much carelessness and then you use your remote. There are other things to devote time to.
As one ATA commenter said, maybe it's time for AC to put 360 out of its misery and devote more time to his talk show. He's just not "into it," anymore and neither is his audience.
Isha Sesay, seems to have forgotten 360, or she was just dissatisfied entertaining AC during the bulletin. She too, has better things to do.

  8. I an honestly say, I won't be watching much
of CNN come 2011.By March 2011, CNN will
be forced to fix the network due to the recent
programming failures, aka Parker Sptizer &
    Piers Morgan.

  9. CNN has forgotten about it viewers and why
people watch CNN.CNN is not conversational,
    intelligent,factual or informative. Content is
problem for CNN overall.CNN is going to be
4th for years and come next year is likely to
to fall behind CNBC. The promos for Piers
Morgan make me dislike him. Nobody even
knows this guy and he thinks he can get the
big interviews. Yeah right. He is not a big name
or even considered to be a real journalist

  10. 360 is the best show on CNN these days so it
will not be going away. I think if they drop
the pundits and go with smart people who
know what they are talking about like GPS
the ratings would be better. It is shameful
when you see the outstanding programs on
CNN International and the crappy shows that
Americans get with CNN. When it comes to
American viewers CNN could care less and
viewers can protest with their remotes.

  11. Larry King is counting down the last 10
days of his show and CNN is showing a
lack of respect with the Piers Morgan
    promos.Morgan comes across as an
    arrogant jerk.

  12. @2:56PM: I couldn't agree more.
Arrogant is a very good word to describe Piers Morgan.
@1:11pm: "360 is the best show on CNN." That's not saying much.

  13. Everyone seems to forget that there is a morning CNN and it looks like John Roberts is leaving American Morning to work out of Atlanta. It is said TJ Holmes may take over and Tony Harris may be leaving. If Cooper wanted a morning show he should have been given one on his own network not a syndicated one.
