Something was lacking in CNN's coverage of the
ReplyDeleteDADT vote. Enjoyed the Jason Carrol doc, can't
say the same for Tiger Woods. I liked the music
segment with Don Lemon last night. I hope it
becomes a fixture on the weekends at CNN. The
same with sports in the morning with TJ. Love the
tech segments with Mario and Katie. Wish they
would do more with Josh Levs and the people at
CNN.com and the Time Newsfeed. Yesterday Josh
used the data from Time. I really hope that in the
future CNN will hire some music news reporters
to help us discover music. Douglas Cabellero
& Toure come to mind. Current TV once had
a series called Embedded. They had a crew
follow around different performers and turned
it into a performance documentary series.
IMHO viewers would like a music doc on
weekends instead of celebrities and crime
for an half hour mini doc before news.
Finally, can Morning Passport become an
hour long daily show on CNN. I always learn
something with Nadia. She is very good at
story telling.
2011 is only days away. The ratings really

end. Around the 2nd week in Jan 2011 is when
people will come back to cable news. Somehow
I think there will be fewer eyeballs for all of the
major television networks. One of the best items
selling this Xmas is Google TV. Let's hope when
2011 comes CNN will return to it's roots and
embrace news, news and news. People are
consuming news and information more than
ever. CNN has the resources. now if they
could have a vision to make CNN the world's
largest source for news. People consume
news and information but not opinion.CNN
needs to adjust to the 21st century as we
move into the 2nd decade of the 21st

is turning CNN into HLN, he said so in the
WSJ.If only CNN would hire a social media
team and hire an executive to overhaul CNN
and take them in the right direction. It is the
same tired old stuff on CNN. It would be
great if Pete could run CNN. There is a
huge disconnect.I am telling you now, one
of the best things CNN can do is to go with
a viewer contributed news show and hook
viewers connect with CNN reports from

took them all that time to get rid of him only to hire someone equally as incompetent who heads HLN. Why?
Now it will be more trashy than ever. Especially when you send memos alleging the "News" is no longer the star and you're a news network. Ted Turner would have been shocked...or maybe not.

It is apparent from what little I've seen of him, that he has nothing in common with American viewers.
He doesn't know their habits, their tastes, their likes or dislikes and most importantly, he can't relate. If there's no common ground to build a relationship, then there's no relationship and NO reason to watch his show. It's that simple and CNN couldn't figure it out.
