CNN’s Drew Griffin investigates the North Carolina state justice system where an audit of the lab ordered by the North Carolina State Attorney General found more than 200 cases between 1986 and 2003 in which key blood test results were withheld from trial. In many cases, the evidence withheld would have helped the defense. In three of those cases, defendants were executed; four more are on death row. Griffin looks closely at the cases of Greg Taylor, who wrongly served 17 years in prison, and Floyd Brown, who was confined to a mental institution for 14 years.

  1. CNN needs to be live live and live. No taped
shows. I think CNN should have legit journalists
anchoring the news from Egypt. It is right to
bring people in from CNN International but it
is a mistake to have Eliot Spitzer, Kathleen
Parker and Piers Morgan doing breaking news.
This is a story with huge implications. Would
you trust these people to grasp the news about
Egypt. CNN has Fareed Zakaria among others.
Why wasn't Fareed anchoring on CNN in prime
time.It showed that Spitzer, Parker and Morgan
are not news people. This morning they are
getting it right. CNN is going with Randi Kaye,
Jonathan Mann and Isha Sesay. Bring in your
best talent for the Lotus Revolution.

  2. Wolf Blitzer & Isha Sesay were great on
    Saturday.

  3. Anderson is making his way to Egypt. Let's
hope that means 360 will be live from Egypt
all week with Anderson anchoring live from
    the scene.

  4. It is about time for Anderson to be heading
to the region. There is word that thousands
    are now protesting in Jordan.

CNN domestic dropped the ball on this one.
It was clear from CNN International that this
was going to be big. How is that they are in
the same building and there was no one
noticed this story for CNN domestic.CNN
got lucky and rebounded nicely since they
had the resources of CNN International.

  5. Yes, there was word through out the week that that rioting and revolt were spreading but CNN domestic, as well as 360, dropped the ball.
The same thing happened with the Gulf story here. When things got really ugly, AC headed for the region.
Maybe it is a money issue and the network just doesn't want to spend the money. CNNi is much better than CNN domestic and I don't want to hear a peep out of those who are not journalists, like Morgan this week. Oh, I forgot, he was a journalist, for a British tabloid.
    How great is that?
