  1. This week CNN will get a boost from the
breaking news out of Egypt, but it won't
last. Once the story settles down Parker
Spitzer will be 4th & Piers Morgan will
fall behind Rachel Maddow.360 will be
the # 1 show on CNN this week and it
will be interesting to see if 360 will
be able to top Ed on a regular basis.

  2. Like what CNN is doing with Suzanne Malveaux.
They always pick great stories for the text the
news segment. It makes me wonder how come
we never see any of these stories on CNN. I
think Suzanne should be on right before TSR.
It seems better suited to be an afternoon show.
Suzanne if being wasted in the morning. She
should be on later in the day for breaking news.
Malveaux is a seasoned journalists. I do have
one criticism. Why is Carol Costello on the show.
Sarah Palin & Nancy Pelosi have nothing to do
with the Super Bowl. It is just a sporting event.
It has nothing to do with uniting Americans.
    We love our sports period.

  3. Actually, Rachel Maddow is ahead in the demo,
not by much, it will come down to the wire.TV
by the Numbers has the data.

  4. I am happy for the 360 ratings. Anderson
Cooper is a news man. Let's hope when
the Egypt crisis comes to an end 360 will
have some international news on the show.
The reporters are playing a huge role in
prime time on CNN. They are driving the
ratings with eyewitness accounts. It is the
reporting that is giving CNN the ratings
bump. It has been amazing to watch AC
broadcasting for the past 2 days. He is
doing a remarkable job narrating the
events of each day.It is real.

  5. I firmly agree with the first two commenters.
When there is a lull in news and things return to normal, Piers's ratings will decline and 360 will beat Ed, but by a slim Margin.
Maddown stands to gain from all of this.
It is times like these when Anderson is out in the field and does his best work, you ask yourself, why would he do Broadway and daytime?
Will he drop everything and just run to the next disaster or take his audience with him like Oprah, which seems unreal in a dangerous situation.
Suzanne Malveaux should be before Wolf, but I'm glad to see women in some position anchoring.

  6. It is interesting to note that since Spitzer is anchoring by himself, his ratings have really gone up.
And where is the lovely Ms Parker?
Did she just disappear off the scene and quietly go away. The promos are still running for both of them but Eliot seems to be holding his own quite well.

  7. A dose of reality will hit CNN this week.
CNN will fall behind for the 1st 2 hrs of
prime time and will be behind MSNBC
for the month at 8 & 9.No need to
bother watching CNN until 10. PMT
has AC so that will be interesting but
once he gets back to being a tired and
boring interview show the ratings will
fall again. This week The Last Word
    will top Parker Spitzer again.

  8. Looks like things are back to normal in the
ratings universe. Parker Spitzer is 4th, PMT
is 3rd and 360 tops Ed. Yes Piers Morgan
you are losing to Rachel Maddow. Get use
    to it.

  9. Now that AC is back from Egypt, his ratings are coming down and he was even with the Ed Show on MSNBC.
That is surprising and I hope it is not a trend.
Piers Morgan was also down and the totals for Egypt were also surprising given the fact that Keith Olbermann is completely out of the picture on MSNBC.
    CNN ranked third.
This all shows that the News is indeed the star and Ken Jauntz, CNN's latest installment as President, is competely out of
touch when he said earlier this year,"The News is No Longer the Star."

  10. Parker Spitzer was actually 5th in the demo
it finished behind CNBC. Anderson numbers
had to go way up from his lead in. AC beat
Ed b;y 100,000 in the demo no thanks to
    the 2 hrs before 360. Lawrence O'Donnell
beat Parker Spitzer 2:1 and Piers is too
boring to bring in big numbers. Those are
loyal 360 viewers. Ed & Anderson had the
same number of viewers but nobody is
helping 360. The lineup seems to be hurting
    360.

  11. So Parker Spitzer has finished 5th in the demo
for the 2nd day behind CNBC in the demo. Was
Campbell Brown ever performing that bad ?
What's up with the double standard ?

I can't believe that American Morning is hanging
close to Morning Joe in the demo.

  12. From last nites numbers Piers Moron beat AC in totals, which is a shame because the man knows so very little, but what is even more
surprising, is that the Ed Show is gaining some strength.
This all goes back to the main fact, viewers like to see AC in action, in the field bringing them the news.
I know it is unrealistic to think he can always do this. It would be unaffordable for any newtwork, but AC's strength lies in his work in the field....that's when he gets his big numbers, not doing specials or panel discussions, but IN THE FIELD.

  13. Rachel Maddow has a loyal following and Piers Moron, has not developed one as of yet.
Tonite he will interview his old boss,"The Donald," where Piers was really discovered, not on his talent show, and we shall see his technique and skill or lack of it, in action with Trump.
On the Apprenctice, I found Piers to be snobbish to many of his co-workers and this was well before CNN hired him.
As an aside: Those that watch Trump, NeNe Leaks, will be one of the contestants on the new Apprentice.
