Don Lemon's book, Transparent, is due for release on June 16th. We haven't had the opportunity to preview Lemon's book but if you go to Amazon there is a brief review and you are able to pre-order.
The New York Times has posted an interview with Lemon about the book. He talks about the sexual abuse he suffered as a child and also about using the book as a vehicle to come out to the world as a gay man. Lemon adds not to judge others by his choices. He says, “I think it would be great if everybody could be out. But it’s such a personal choice. People have to do it at their own speed. I respect that. "

Thanks for posting this, I like Don Lemon and am looking forward to reading his book. I hate it when the MSM reduce someone's book to one thing, like him telling that he is gay. So what? Who cares, I'm sure the book is about many other things than that one topic! Thanks again
Well I agree with you but to be fair, him being gay wasnt the only thing mentioned in the blurb, but it is a news headliner, especially since he's coming out in the book (although it hasnt been much a secret for people who follows him).
But yeah who cares? I just applaud him for writing his first book and I hope its sucessful!
I love him. OMG. I'm so happy that he is telling his story. I wish I could meet him >.<
I admire anyone who decides to come out. More visibility and recognition that some of the most admirable and accomplished people are gay is a good thing and I'm happy to see Don Lemon acknowledge that and hopefully others will do the same at some point.
