  1. Jon is correct as usual about CNN's sometimes lazy journalism.

  2. Jon is ALWAYS BRILLIANT.
    Not just last nite.

  3. CNN is just not good at reporting these days.
Dana Bash's story had too many issues and
Randi Kaye and others should have known
better. Andrew Breitbart has a really bad
history and it is not like CNN is not aware of
this. CNN looks dumb and desperate. These
people should have flunked Journalism 101.
CNN's journalism license should be revoked.
What a bunch of losers. Are CNN reporters
so lazy that they take scripts from Breitbart.

  4. Dana Bash and Randi Kaye are excellent journalists who happen to work for a stupid network that gives them little support or resources to be original.
Jon Stewart went after Trump tonite and he was more brilliant tonite than he was last nite.
If you missed it, try to catch a clip online.

  5. Instead of asking viewers if they'd question the coverage if a conservative politician was found to have sent out suggestive photos the way Weiner allegedly did, Anderson Cooper and all the other reporters at CNN should be asking themselves why they continue to act as though Andrew Breitbart is a fine, upstanding political operative with a stellar reputation and no history of lying and scamming in order to bring down liberal politicians and supporters. How about considering the source before you rake someone over the coals?

  6. Calm down CNN. No one is seeking sex,
buying sex or having sex. Walk down the
street people. You can see guys with their
jeans under their underwear. With the
underwear clearly visible. Low rider jeans
in which you can see peoples bottoms.

  7. Conservatives always make that false claim
just to make CNN do what the want. CNN
needs a backbone and needs to stop taking
the bait. Now that there is FNC and others
the charge is false. CNN has no business
checking out who is following Weiner. It is
none of their business. 360 should do an
in studio experiment to show how easy and
fast you can play with someone's Twitter
    account and morph photos.

Sadly, Stewart is right if only there were a
trusted name in the news. CNN has not
been trusted since Ted Turner left and
the network standards left with him.

  8. TV by the Numbers has the ratings for CNN on
Tuesday. They are in the toilet. CNN needs to
understand that America is not sitting around
waiting to find out what Sarah Palin does. It is
just you guys and seeing the low ratings for
all of the CNN shows viewers certainly did not
care for the Weiner story or Paris Hilton. All of
the HLN shows beat CNN in prime time. CNN
messed up big time, they decided to peddle
what Andrew Breitbart was selling and look
at what happened. All day long yesterday
CNN did Weiner & Trump/Palin eating pizza.
    No other news happened.

  9. Why does CNN keep showing the college
students picture ? Is that really necessary ?

    ReplyDelete
  10. How long before CNN announces that
Erin Burnett will be on in prime time.
CNN recently announced the hiring of
a producer for her show. Does not
sound like dayside to me. Obviously
Morgan or Spitzer will lose their show.

  11. @7:42PM: We can only hope.

  12. Jon Stewart is successful because he's an original. There is NO ONE on TV like him, which is why Bill Maher, I predict, will be nominated for another Emmy and will not win. He just doesn't deserve to when you look at his competition...TDS!
Jon is not always funny and he's not always brilliant, but you can tell he cares about HIS show, because its who he is.
He CARES what the writers do and tonite was another good example when he had a soul singer singing about Anthony Weiner. It was the best 5 minutes of the nite and it's been that way the entire week.
He's not looking for another gig, though I'm sure he could find one in a second.
He REALLY likes what he's doing and it shows and that's what makes him original and successful and the viewers know it. His IMPUT is all over the show.
Someone on CNN, and I'm not saying who, should make it their homework assignment to listen and learn.

  13. One problem that CNN and all of the cable
news channels have is that way too often
    they make broad-based assumptions about
the American public. Latest example is Mitt
Romney. CNN and others are saying because
he is a businessman he gets elected. Really ?
Who can say with a hundred percent certainty
how the economic picture looks a year from
now. CNN and others said the same thing
about George W. Bush. He was the business
man who create jobs. Yet we had the lost
decade and not job creation and for the
last 30 yrs have kept our economy going with
cheap credit. Mitt Romney is no Steve Jobs.
This is the 21st century and the economy
is truly global. They can not say that this
is the type of businessman Americans
would like in the White House. Does this
means he can create jobs ? Don't think so.
CNN needs to keep in mind the election is
more than a year away. What is going on
now will not shape the campaign. What is
going on a year for now will, CNN seems
to be rooting for a bad economy.

  14. CNN has too many weak points. At some point
ITA & PMT will drag 360 down with them. AM is
going over the cliff and CNN has no plan.MJ's
growth has got to be a wake up call. CNN forgot
about about intelligent conversation and the
high road. Now they are suffering the costs of
bad decisions. The only smart hire for CNN has
been Fareed Zakaria. The man does not go for
the ideological bs . I deleted 360 once I heard
the words Sarah Palin. Can someone please
explain to me what is the point of CNN these
days.We need to see more people like Tom
Friedman, Malcol Gladwell and others who
are actually thinkers and innovators to start
replacing the pundits on CNN.CNN needs to
get rid of lame segments like the Stream
Team, tea party questions and news from
Andrew Breitbart. Your job is to report the
news and not bring us opinions are made
up news stories or fake issues.

  15. Hire George Stroumbolopoulos and get rid
of the boring hour long celeb interview show.
It is as close to the Daily Show as CNN can get.
He opens the show with a Debrief of the news
of the day and is a cross between Peter Jennings
and James Dean. Time Warner has to discover
the next big thing. I saw on Twitter that AC
was in Toronto, could he be sitting down with
George. Strombo has interviewed more big
names than Piers Morgan, does docs and is
a strong interviewer. Big asset for CNN. He
has the type of show that would get viewers
who would not normally be in to CNN.At
this point CNN needs something different.

  16. Neither Donald Trump nor Mitt Romney could
deal with today's business climate. The both
filed bankruptcies with companies. To me that
says you don't know how to run a company.
Somebody has to reshape the economy, I
don't want anyone past 55 in the White House.
They have old outdated ideas that got us into
this mess. Can't make too much out of 1 month
of data. If nothing changes 6 months for now,
that is a different story. Romney 's record on
the economy is not great. Just ask people
in Massachusetts. You know how he lost
to Ted Kennedy, He purchased companies
    and laid off workers.

  17. I think CNN will have a really hard time
getting the best journalists or NBT to
work for CNN. The network is going
nowhere and is not being creative . Why
is CNN being so secretive about the time
of Erin Burnett's show are they trying to
avoid criticism for Eliot Spitzer and Piers
Morgan. CNN can't escape told you so.
How can someone from the left vs right
talk be a constructive conversation about
anything.Burnett's show is due to start
this month and nothing on when can we
see her new show. Not promoting a new
show is not too smart. Ted Turner was
committed to a global news network
and he certainly believed in hiring the
best. Tuner would never have hired Piers
    Morgan or Eliot Spitzer.

  18. CNN is in big trouble. Al Sharpton beat the
entire prime time lineup.CNN has officially
turned off viewers.CNN is toast and they
    inflicted the wounds themselves.

  19. Anthony Weiner should be ashamed of himself.
Not because of what he did, but because of what he didn't do.
Apologize for being childish and using his twitter account for nonsense that had nothing to do with serving his constituency.
I don't care if he embarrassed himself or his wife, but he is an embarrassment, and therefore, should resign.
Twitter on your own time, not on the public dime or time and be forthcoming about it and stop playing childish games with the press and yourself and a third party. Grow up.

    ReplyDelete
  20. According to Bill Maher, Anthony Weiner wants to run for mayor of NYC and he thinks it's a good idea because he is so out spoken.
All the voters will remember is this self imposed silliness.
    I know I wouldn't vote for him.
What we don't need is another John Edward, self absorbed with entitlement.
