Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Anderson Cooper and the AC360 team are in Africa this week reporting on the famine in Somalia. They flew with Dr. Jill Biden, the Vice President's wife, on Air Force Two and arrived late Sunday night, Eastern time. After arriving in Nairobi they boarded a C130 transport to Somalia. Dr. Gupta tweeted this picture.
Dr. Gupta filed this report in the 8PM of American Morning.
Don't forget AC360 switches to its new time slot tonight, 8PM ET with a repeat at 10 PM.

if there is something different with 360.

We will likely get some data this month.
360 will likely increase CNN ratings at 8 PM.
The question is by how much. Will 360 top
Last Word and Grace in viewers or demo. We
will all find out tomorrow but you can't reach
any conclusions anytime soon.
From now on I will only watch 360 and CNN
on the weekends. CNN is a joke. Bringing on
Donald Trump to talk about the downgrade
and being Treasury Sec'y just shows how
stupid and ridiculous CNN has become
Sorry. I know this might sound nasty and perhaps even bitter, but this is the wrong time to go to Somalia.
I know there will be those who will say "there's never a wrong time to expose famine," but if you want Americans to raise money, today, when the DOW dropped 600 points, is NOT a good time.
We also lost our credit worthiness for the very first time so again, we can feel their pain, but our feelings are not as heartfelt as they would have been had they waited.
This was CNN's poor attempt to USE the Somalian famine, which has gone on forever it seems, to get AC/360 ratings in it's new time slot.
So not only was it the wrong day, it was done for the wrong reason, and I for one, resent it.
The starving people in Somalia really are running out of time. They are not the reason this country is where they are. I am glad Anderson went.
