  1. I get the feeling that 360 is turning into nothing
but talking heads and not anything of substance.
How could they not start with Giffords instead of
the debt ceiling vote. How many hours had we
been watching that ? If 360 is going to go with
talking heads for 30 minutes, the show will lose
me as a viewer for sure. Watch 360 lose viewers
if they continue with 360 pundits.

CNN doesn't do anything. That is exactly why
they are being beaten by Al Sharpton and sub
    anchors for Maddow.

  2. On Friday, the Moron beat AC/360 by about 100,000 viewers and I really don't know why.
I can't even remember who this boring man had on.
He's become pitiful and I'm quite certain if Piers was moved into the 10PM slot, it wouldn't make the slightest bit of difference.
That would give 360 room to expand if it was necessary. Now AC has to put up with "the Moron" right after his hour, even if there's Breaking News, news that we all know MORON CAN'T HANDLE.

  3. CNN wanted a default and they did not get it.
I am sick of all of the jerks on tv acting like
they run things. They don't. They have zero
impact on people's lives and the world economy.
I am tired of these pretend presidents. Get a life.
How much dumber can CNN get ?

The moment I saw the 6 person talking head box
on 360 I turned the channel. I don't even like Al
Sharpton but there was no way in the world I was
going to watch 360. CNN is finding ways to mess
around with 360. Pretty much making the show
useless. Where is the news ? 1 week before the
big move it is not smart to turn off viewers.360
will need those viewers to come to CNN at 8 PM.
I agree how could you not start 360 with Gabby
Giffords. Luke Russert said it best. She was the
    story of the night.

Maybe it's time to turn off 360.

  4. If the public has moved on from the debt
ceiling stupidity why can't CNN. I nominate
360 and CNN for the Ridiculist.I knew they
would mess up 360.CNN stupidly thinks
that people want to hear from ideologues.
Who cares if they don't like the deal. It is
not about the left or right. How CNN be
    so narrow minded.

  5. Anderson Cooper had better start working harder
on 360. One thing Lawrence O'Donnell won't do
is to sell his audience short. He would never give
his viewers an hour of useless chatter. Lawrence
works very hard on writing and presentation and
you can see that Lawrence won't just throw crap
on The Last Word. Lawrence O'Donnell respects
his viewers. I would much rather see Anderson
& Isha talking about the news than hearing the
pundits complain. What else is new. I tell you
this, if 360 puts on bad shows, I will have no
problem changing to Lawrence O'Donnell. I
    love Anderson Cooper & 360 but I won't just
watch anything because it is Anderson Cooper.
    360 viewers deserve better.

  6. Why are most of you writing about Anderson Cooper here? Don't you know that All Things Anderson is where your comments should go? I come here to read about CNN, not to be spammed with comments about Anderson Cooper. Could the mods of this blog please stop this so we can have an intelligent conversation instead of this fan girl/stalker crap.

  7. TV By The Numbers has the July 2011 numbers
and CNN is 4th for the 2nd consecutive month
in prime time. It is an across the board beating
for all 3 hours of prime time in viewers & demo.
CNN better fix things like last year. CNN will be
4th for the 3Q unless they turn things around
    staring today. Not gonna happen.

  8. 1:46PM: You make a very well taken point and a whole lot of criticism of Anderson Cooper doesn't even get posted.
I know because I've had it deleted many times.

  9. Everyone always speaks of Rachel and Lawrence from MSNBC and how well they're doing in their respective time slots.
And they are. Even Rachel's subs have done decently, but ED placed dead even in totals with AC/360 last nite, and MSNBC hardly promotes his show.
Ed is a man of the people and his viewers know it. Now that 360 is moving to 8, and the 10PM slot will have reruns, I expect ED to do even better.
Lawrence O'Donell's ratings will remain the same, because he was opposite 360 at 10, and most of the time CNN still came up short.
So my guess is CNN will remain dead last no matter what.

  10. CNN' s Piers Morgan situation is about to blow
up. The BBC seems to have uncovered words
form Piers himself saying he listened to a tape
from Heather Mills' mobile phone in 2006.

The BBC is digging which means they are on to
something. It will be hard for CNN to challenge
the BBC. So much for CNN's vetting process.
Wow,they went out on limb to defend him. Why ?

  11. I don't know who's a bigger liar, Heather Mills or Piers Morgan.
They both rate about the same when it comes to tabloids and gossip and their both sleathering, slimmy people that come out at nite and try to ruin lives through what is known as broadcast journalism.
Piers of course is denying the allegations that Heather Mills heard him say anything about phone hacking.
If he could deny being the editor of "The Mirror," he would. Only that is open for public record.
Well so might be the phone conversations he supposedly gave the thumbs up on, or didn't, of Paul McCartney's fight with Heather Mills, some years back.
Either way, he listened and gave the go ahead, and it was printed.
    He's an accomplice!

  12. You kids might get your Strombo wish.
Who has been on Dr Drew lately. Where
did those viewers come from. What is
going on the Piers Morgan is the last
    thing CNN needs. Fire him.

  13. I don't think CNN could lure George away
from CBC. What could they offer him ? He
could easily be in late night television at
ABC,NBC or CBS or even Comedy Central.
It would be great for him to be available
all across America. That would be a real
shocker to hear the words Strombo will
    be coming to CNN.

  14. It is getting to be crunch time. Come Monday
360 will be on at 8. Judging from the ratings
yesterday, 360 needs to stop leading with
their pundits. 360 needs to work on content.
History is repeating again with 360, each time
the ratings go up they bring on pundits and
360's numbers go down. Why does 360 need
pundits. I have to DVR the show and each day
I have had to delete the show because of the
heavy use of pundits. Maybe come Monday
360 will be different and have some new
things. They need to because this week has
been lame. 360 doesn't seem to be getting
    any good guests these days.

  15. CNN needs to stop missing stories. The FAA
story has been out there for some time, Yet
another example of the public being ahead
of CNN. One thing the 500 plus dow drop
shows is that we in a global society. It had
nothing to with the U.S. debt. No. So why
did CNN just have that on a banner.CNN's
    norm is becoming irresponsible journalism.
    Viewers don't get the who,what, when,where
or why.It is all hyperbole and nothing else.
There is such a lack of stories on CNN and
it has been replaced with talk. Somewhere
along the line the news gathering had to be
dismantled. Someone at CNN needs to be
reassembling the news operation. CNN is
not a news channel. That's why they are
    losing viewers.
