We're going to forgo the usual 'Your Views on the News' post this week and instead offer you some weekend reading. CNN.com has published, in four parts, a riveting story by Wayne Drash about a murder in small town North Carolina.
The murder took place 33 years ago still haunts the residents of Sellerstown, North Carolina to this day. It also still haunts the killer. CNN’s story provides perspectives from the remaining surviving family members, Sellerstown residents, and the murderer himself. The tale extends to explain the subtleties and atmosphere that the murder has left on the town. CNN tells the story of a killer who feels remorse, a family that forgave a murderer, and a town still shaken by it all.
