BECAUSE OF BILL CLINTON AND ONLY BECAUStE OF BILL CLINTON.
IT HAD NOT ONE THING TO DO WITH CNN.
Bill Clinton was absolutely riveting and even I watched CNN.
The minute Bill left the stage and Anderson came on to analyze, I switched the channel.
I also watched Michelle on CNN and I will watch the POTUS on CNN.
It means that when I watch the news, I watch CNN.
It does not mean that I will go back to 360 viewing....ever.
The broadcast stations, it can be told, except for NBC, did not broadcast either Convention until ten o'clock.
After this Convention, everyone will go back to their usual NOT watching CNN.
And Chelsea looked beautiful.
She looked very pleased with her dad's performance.
Bill Clinton is like wine. He gets better with age.
@anonymous 11:40, Bill Clinton wasn't on the first night he was on tonight. So we're a bit confused by your comment. Care to elaborate?
@ATC Team: Right Bill was not on but Michelle was and I watched for Michelle as well....that's my elaboration.
They did refer to him, however on nite one so you needn't be confused.
And a big congratulations to Alex Castellanos for being so objective in saying that "This put Obama over the top. Close the Convention doors."
This meaning Bill's speech.
Few Republicans are as objective as Alex.
Clinton struck all the right notes.
He didn't overshadow Obama.
They have different styles.
He did what Obama wouldn't do...the dirty work in calling out the Republican lies and giving explicit examples, especially for the nine year old, with two last names, Paul Ryan.
Ed Henry said it best on TVN, his first Convention for Fox News: "The numbers don't lie."
Fox is #1 for all of cable because of their consistency.
This is a one time deal for CNN.
After the convention there is nothing, no show, nothing for staying power.
Their numbers may increase as election time grows nearer, but CNN's day in the sun, is over.
Your graphics are misleading.
According to TVN, MSNBC was #1 in primetime, the first time in 16 years because of the First Lady.
Care to elaborate ATC Team?
anonymous 12:17, We are All Things CNN so we post CNN press releases. No need to elaborate, it should be obvious. If we were All Things MSNBC then we would be touting their win, but we're not, so we didn’t.
@11:40 - You do know that Bill Clinton speaking wasn't on the first night, but tonight right? And that he was on every single news channel, not just CNN. CNN isn't the only station broadcasting the convention, so your comment makes no sense. Read the post before commenting.
What CNN failed to mention is that MSNBC topped everyone.
Most of the individuals who visit this site are those clearly aware that CNN is the last place news network, so who do they think they are fooling with this little piece of information.
