Suzanne Malveaw congratulated her crew for winning the emmy award for the country of Egypt Revolution story. I watched all of that story and dont think she contributed what those reporters and anchor people did from the international CNN. The different folks working on this story were much better than the folks usually on CNN. It was confusing when they say there from international. Why we do not see them work they earned the emmy award all the way.
ReplyDeleteI've seen all the recent press releases where CNN is trying to spin their ratings numbers. Yeah, they improved since 2Q12 but that's because they had no where else to go but up. Truth is, no matter how they spin it, the overall ratings suck and they are not getting better. All cable tv gets a bump after the summer, particularly in an election year - that is nothing new. CNN failed to capitalize on what would be a predictably growing audience in the near term. MSNBC jumped up big time and FNC is as powerful as ever. CNN barely registered an increase and they are down compared to 3Q11 - and that wasn't even a national election year. Look at those numbers above posted by the fine ATC team. CNN is in trouble and Burnett, Cooper, and Morgan seem incapable of fixing it. No surprise.

ReplyDeleteI tuned in to ABC for clarity.
They didn't have that silly undecided chart at the bottom that was being "monitored" with every thought and response for the so-called 'undecided.'
As Bill Maher noted recently, they are not undecided. They are just illiterate and stupid.
They are people who can't decide whether to have tuna or turkey salad, and everyone makes them into something special.
CNN, stop courting people who don't give a s..t.

ReplyDeleteI disagree about Suzanne, she deserves the Emmy like most of the other CNNers do, it was after all her sitting in the anchor chair when the news of Mubarak's resignation came. That news was broadcast to the whole world via CNNI and both Suzanne and her co-anchor at the time, CNNI's legend Jim Clancy, did a terrific job. Too bad they were replaced about 15 minutes later with Cooper and Blitzer.
