  1. CNN is now # 4 right out of the block with
AM.CNN needs to drop all of the talking heads
and do in depth reporting from around the
    world.

  2. I finally found out why I really dislike Steve Perry...he wears his hair like a "an LA gang member." I knew there was a reason he wasn't credible, other than his complete lack of knowledge on education and it fianlly dawned on me. He wants to resemble those that he most "admires." He wants to act tough and be well liked by the kids. Isn't that soooo cool!
CNN please find someone else. AC spoke to an hispanic gentleman in LA who started a charter school and is getting good results. Please use him. He's well spoken, presentable, and actually makes sense, and he leaves you with the sense that he's EDUCATED.

  3. CNN is #4 because it fails to respond to its viewers, whether they live blog or e-mail or even read this blog. They just don't CARE.

  4. I am with Patrick Kennedy.CNN failed to
cover the health care reform rally and the
crisis in Nigeria and other major stories
all week long.CNN covered a Tea Party
convention that not even 800 people
attended, It is all about content and
CNN. In 24 hrs you get zero news it is
despicable. They deserve to fall and it
is their own fault. American Morning is
useless because it does the same old
news from the day before and not even
fresh news.Oh yeah but their is plenty
of speculation but no focus on what
really is going on. Can Bill Maher run
CNN. He does more news at the end
of Real Time than CNN does in 1 week.
Does anyone at CNN even know what
    news is anymore.

  5. CNN will definitely be history soon. ICN
has an interesting item about a possible
news morning show and guess what it
is based on ideology and opinion. Can
there be one original idea that someone
at the network can come up with?

Considering viewers are turned off by
CNN getting farther and farther away
from being a news channel, why go
there. I simply can not believe they
are that stupid.Oh yeah that is right
it is the brain dead management at
CNN.i could run a better news operation
    out of a college dorm.

  6. I hope Ted Turner & some of his buds
can get back CNN by buying up TW stock.

  7. I have always wondered why Morning Joe can
have people from Time and Fortune on the
show but AM does not. For the most part MJ
is not a political partisan show. They have
people who know what they are talking about
and just don't make stuff up. People watch
CNN to find out what is going on not for
talking heads.CNN just stop trying to be
FNC and try and beat FNC.If CNN does the
same thing, why would I watch.TVN says a
high profile female is leaving when their
contract is up. I am willing to bet it is
Christiane Amanpour. It is simple any real
journalist can not be pleased with the
direction that Jon Klein seems to be
    taking CNN.

  8. Actually I think Jon Stewart does more news than anybody and that includes Bill Maher who is very "full of himself."
I agree with you about Parick Kennedy. The media fails to discuss a lot of important issues in depth, unless, like Haiti, it smacks them in the face. Investigative journalism is a lost art. Nobody can do it and those that can, would rather host R&K and be silly.

  9. Under What Should CNN Do IN the Mornings?, and some top line talent is bolting because she is being wooed by another network...my guess, it is Kiran Chetry. Just a guess, but her talent is her charisma. She does "light up the screen."

  10. CNN seems to have their correspondents promoting their shows in a new series of clips. I don't think they are particularly good, because of the obvious. AC is doing a promo for American Morning which is in ratings trouble. Maybe there will be a switch of some kind down the road but I find John Roberts very "dry" and humorless.

  11. @5:16 PM You are correct. Huffpost is reporting Christiane was wooed by ABC. Actually I think she is too much of an intellectual to be happy at ABC unless they give her a Nightline Show.

  12. ABC News is starting a Midday Newscast which should be interesting. I've tuned in at noon, and ABC was far more interesting in their updates than cable lately. Might catch on.
