HLN will present, LIVE, THE 39TH ANNUAL DAYTIME ENTERTAINMENT EMMY® AWARDS ON HLN on Saturday, June 23 at 8pm-10 pm, ET, featuring talent that includes CNN’s Anderson Cooper and popular talk show host Rachael Ray. Fans who miss the live telecast will be able to catch the entire presentation during the following repeat airings: Saturday, June 23 at 10 pm and 12 midnight, Sunday June 24 at 8pm and 10 pm (all times Eastern).

Time Warner (who cancelled CNN Financial Network) should discontinue HLN as a network and focus more on CNN. Canceling HLN could give CNN more viewers. Morning Express with Robin Meade is very popular and would do great if it moved to CNN. Along with that, develop a weekend show on CNN for Nancy Grace (resembling her current one) to go side by side with the Anthony Bourdain show. Also have Nancy Grace appear throughout CNN as their senior crime and justice/legal commentator correspondent.
It is being reported that the Today show will drop Ann Curry. If that does happen, CNN should hire her. I think she along side recently hired John Berman would make a great new morning team for CNN. Zoraida Sambolin is too dull as an anchor. Ashleigh Banfield should have her own afternoon newsroom block. Soledad O'Brien should move to primetime but with a new show, nothing like the awful Starting Point.
CNN needs big changes, these minute changes are not enough.
Effective changes will not happen as long as Jautz and Walton are in power. CNN's reputation is mud. Time Warner it's time to take action.
Rachel Maddow did an excellent piece last night about the Fast and Furious controversy. I don't think CNN has any journalists who have looked into exactly WHO was behind this thing blowing up. Turns out it was an extremist right winger and former militia leader and NRA supporter Michael Vanderboegh who is an agitator who convinced his blogger readers to break the windows of Democratic offices across the country, Rachel always digs deep, something that "reporters" like Drew Griffin aren't capable of.
I am disappointed that Anderson Cooper has
completely ignored the kids bullying a 68 yr
old bus monitor. 360 always focuses on bullying.
The things these 13 year old boys said to that
grandmother was shocking and a disgrace. Some
kids will bully the elderly. They just don;t bully
their peers.

I see on Face Book that Anderson will be talking to
Karen Klein and the bad kids. Honestly, I don't think
they are sorry and this is not new behavior. Anderson
Cooper used to interview people from all walks of
life That was when 360 was good. Right now 360
only talks to pundits. It restores my faith in people
to see the outpouring of support for Karen Klein.
Time Warner is not going to discontinue HLN. They
get carriage fees for all of their channels.
Glad I was away for the weekend and did not watch HLN for their daytime emmys, which obviously are considered, totally unimportant.
They are are on a cable station that does have a large viewership and a Saturday afternoon...the worst time available.
In other words who cares.
