Dr. Gupta's "Chasing Life"

Dr. Sanjay Gutpa's first book called "Chasing Life" will be released on April 9th and inconjunction with the release CNN will also be running a Special Investigation Unit and a radio program of the same name.

"CNN’s chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta sifts through hyperbole and facts as he details for CNN Radio listeners the latest therapies and regimens designed to slow down the aging process. For the hour-long “Chasing Life” program, Gupta and CNN Radio take a hard look at dietary supplements, human growth hormones, stem cell treatments and calorie-restriction diets.
The program, available to affiliates beginning Friday, April 6, serves as a companion piece to the CNN: Special Investigations Unit documentary, set to premiere on Saturday, April 14, at 8 p.m. (ET) on CNN/U.S. and to Gupta’s first book, Chasing Life, scheduled to be released by Warner Books on Monday, April 9."

I don't know if I'll be able to get a copy of Sanjay's book but I've seen his SIU's "Grady's Anatomy". It's an interesting piece and got us a peek into the lives of these doctors in their residency. To endure a 30 hour shift and still have a focus on what you're doing should require a great amount of stamina.

I've not seen SIU's "Death Squads" but seeing Grady's Anatomy, I'll say that "SIU" is worth watching for.

I've been looking forward to this particular SIU because he'll be talking to Dr. Andrew Weil, who is one of the more balanced and sensible medical professionals out there. He believes in a mix of "Western" medicine and alternative therapies, he's not a fanatic either way and I like that. I've been reading his books for years, and I highly recommend them for anyone who becomes interested in this subject after seeing the show.
