The tie-in to CNN is a little weak on this one but if you watch CNN because you're a news junkie you will undoubtedly enjoy a new book by Martin Fletcher (NBC's Tel Aviv Bureau Chief) about his career reporting from the battlefield. The cover contains an endorsement by CNN's Anderson Cooper.
Have you been following NewsRoom anchor Kyra Phillips' excellent reporting from Baghdad? Thursday afternoon Kyra reported on two bomb attacks in Baghdad that killed 53 and wounded 125. A roadside bomb exploded first, around 7 p.m. in the central Baghdad district of Karrada. As people gathered to help the wounded, a suicide bomber amid the crowd detonated an explosive vest, killing and wounding many others.

I'll leave you with a wonderful interview that Stephen Colbert did with Tony Snow, the former press secretary for President Bush. Tony mentions the day he told CNN's Ed Henry to 'zip it'. Enjoy! ~ Phebe

Special thanks goes to CNN, Cyn, Sapphire and J.West for sending me items for this post.
