TJ Holmes recently did an interview that was posted on EURweb.com. The article talks of how Holmes found his way into TV journalism and other turning points in his life. Here's an excerpt from part 1 of the interview.
"When T.J. Holmes decided to attend college at the University of Arkansas, he knew that as the son of educators he had to be prepared to take care of business. But that business did not include preparing for a career in broadcast journalism. That idea never entered into his consciousnesses.
In fact, he had every intention of pursuing a degree in engineering. But as fate would have it, he signed up for a mass communications elective during the first semester of his freshman year, and fell in love with the live element of television. The rest, as they say, is history.
“I have always been an outgoing guy. I have always been kind of curious and a pretty good writer throughout my life. I had some of [the] qualities that went along with this profession, so it all kind of fell into place,” says Holmes. "
