Holiday Schedule

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 25 – THANKSGIVING

VETERANS IN FOCUS: Service, Struggle & Success – Airs 1:00PM – 2:00PM and 4:00PM – 5:00PM
HLN’s Robin Meade hosts “Veterans in Focus: Service, Struggle & Success,” a special presentation from CNN’s award-winning, multi-platform “In Focus” team which highlights the stories of service, struggle and success of our nation’s veterans and the loved ones around them.


TIMEFrames: A John King Special – Airs 2:00PM – 3:00PM and 5:00PM – 6:00PM

CNN and TIME will collaborate to produce a one-hour television program, TIMEFrames: A John King Special, hosted by CNN chief national correspondent and anchor John King. The special, which features an interview with TIME’s managing editor Richard Stengel, will draw heavily on TIME’s forthcoming TimeFrames issue. The magazine, on sale Friday, Nov. 26, will analyze how the world has changed over the first decade of the twenty-first century. The CNN special and single-topic issue of TIME will both showcase the decade’s world-changing events and key personalities and examine how our understanding of those stories has changed with the passage of time. The special will also include appearances by CNN & TIME’s Fareed Zakaria, TIME’s Joe Klein and David Von Drehle. Other special guests will include Donald Trump and Sir Richard Branson.


SHOWBIZ TONIGHT @ CNN HEROES – Airs 7:00PM – 8:00PM

A red carpet special Showbiz Tonight @ CNN Heroes hosted by HLN Showbiz Tonight's A.J. Hammer and Brooke Anderson. The special features exclusive coverage of celebrity arrivals and interviews, as well as coverage of the celebrity-hosted social media suite at the CNN Heroes event.


CNN HEROES: AN ALL-STAR TRIBUTE – Airs 8:00PM – 10:00PM and 10:00PM – 12:00PM

Hosted by CNN anchor Anderson Cooper from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, in its fourth year, CNN and a Blue Ribbon Panel including Muhammad Ali, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Patricia Heaton, Ricky Martin, Apolo Anton Ohno and Holly Robinson Peete have chosen ten everyday people doing extraordinary things to change the world. The tribute show will honor all of the Top 10 CNN Heroes who will each receive $25,000, and will reveal the CNN Hero of the Year who will receive an additional $100,000. The All Star Tribute includes performances by Bon Jovi and Sugarland and appearances by Jessica Alba, Halle Berry, Demi Moore, LL COOL J, Kid Rock, and Renee Zellweger, to name a few.

Dr. SANJAY GUPTA REPORTS – A CONVERSATION WITH MICHAEL J. FOX – Airs 8:00PM – 9:00PM

CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta interviews actor and advocate Michael J. Fox who speaks candidly – and sometimes humorously - about his experience with Parkinson’s disease, his foundation’s funding of a landmark study to identify biomarkers of the disease’s progression, and the need for more participation in clinical trials to more rapidly test and develop drugs that can slow or stop the progression of the disease.

Chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta focuses on concussion injuries. Dr. Gupta hears first-hand what a concussion feels like from the perspective of three former NFL players, and reports on the troubling data that appear to show evidence of brain damage associated with multiple concussions. Dr. Gupta also speaks with the family of a former high school football player about their experience with a serious brain injury as a result of concussion.
