Is it my imagination or is Piers Moron getting grayer?
Thursdays show was just awful and even when he has three guests, he asks all three what they think of Charlie Sheen.
He actually had on former drug abusers to talk about Sheen?
I guess this was his glowing moment in the sun or his only big "get" since Oprah.
And speaking of Oprah, when is Anderson going to start talking about other things other than Lybia? Instead of calling it 360, he can call his new show "All Things Lybia."
Since this is about ratings, has he checked his totals...not exactly matching his tweets.

I have to say, I have not watched 360 since AC decided to ignore the labor issue that is demoralizing a whole group of people who have worked hard all their lives and planned for their future.
Many of his viewers are those people, the people he will ultimately count on to watch his daytime talk show.
The people who make up the majority of the middle class, who are now being treated like second class citizens by the GOP and now by Anderson himself or so it seems.

Congratulations to Larry Wilmore from the Daily Show who will be the
comical headliner for the White House Correspondents Dinner.
This is a very smart choice from a very smart show, that has become the most influential news program of its kind to date.
I just know Jon will be watching.

360's lack of coverage on the union situation is shameful. I don't mean to criticize their coverage of Libya, it is important, but how can they COMPLETELY ignore what is happening here with the unions? It is an incredibly significant and disturbing development with major implications for this country. MSNBC hasn't missed a night of covering Wisconsin and yet on CNN we get a minor report on In The Arena and Anderson doesn't do a thing on it other than tossing it off in the bulletin. Are they SERIOUS? How do they justify basically ignoring one of the biggest issues taking place in this country? It doesn't make sense, however, I have the feeling if this were a story that had a bigger Tea Party slant, it would be front and center on 360. I don't believe CNN is as "balanced" as they want us all to believe. There is plenty of time for 360 to do a substantial report on the union situation every night, but so far, they are refusing to do it and ignoring the people who confront them about it.

Ouch. Eliot Spitzer solo is 4th. At some point
CNN has to change the lineup and get rid of
Piers Morgan and Eliot Spitzer. Their shows
are just plain awful. Who in their right mind
would ask Donald Rumsfeld about Charlie
Sheen. Morgan is incapable of doing interviews.
He is simply clueless and his weaknesses are
obvious and you find yourself saying what.

Also, CNN is making a bad call overhyping
the King hearings on Muslims. Memo to
CNN : stop spreading lies and myths and
trying to make them legitimate news stories.
There is no need for CNN to be carrying the
hearings live. We all know it is a stacked
deck and CNN will be broadcasting myths.
Yet CNN thinks this is what people are
talking about. I don't think so.

CNN really needs to understand outside
the beltway journalism. If you have a
show called John King, USA, shouldn't
there be news from across the USA.
360 should've done more on Wisconsin,
but overall CNN's coverage has been
anti union with loaded questions from
Jack Cafferty and Carol Costello.CNN
refuses to talk to the people involved
and affected by the stories they cover.
They have the beltway mentality about
the news. Only pundits can talk about
the news and that means the real news
gets lost and you don't get the facts or
what is really happening. There is some
empty headed journalism going on.
CNN has decided we don't really need
to find out what is going on.

So far this week 360 is CNN's top show.
They must be doing something right.
Why even bother watching CNN for the
1st 2 hrs of prime time ? It seems like
viewers have this sentiment.

CNN please bring George Strombo to the United
States. You have to the power to bring this show
to the masses. Canada is a nation of 30 million.
America needs this type of show that covers the
news, events, pop culture, politics and interesting
topics you can't get on cable news, You need new
shows and FNC & MSNBC does not. The best part
is that Strombo is live and only 38. C'mon , put
the show on at 8 so that there is something new
and fresh in cable news land. We will keep coming
to this blog in hopes the bosses at CNN will
know about someone who is starting to blow
up and gain popularity all over the web because
that is the only way to see the show. George
even does specials. He recently returned from
Pakistan and is working on a project that he
will tell us about in the future.

This is so typical of CNN and their anti-Union slant is one of the big reasons for the dearth of good coverage. They're doing a terrible disservice to viewers, but they have an agenda.

I wonder if CNN wants Katie Couric. Clearly,
this would help CNN out with women. She
could easily replace Piers Morgan and she
is likable.

Anonymous said...

@4:31AM: Agree with you 100%.
Why should anyone care what happens elsewhere when people are losing their homes and their jobs right here in the good old USA?
You are so right in saying that this is a disservice to their viewers. WE are being ignored once again by CNN and their "keeping them honest anchor."
What a travesty of justice!
I never thought I'd say this, but I hope CNN's slanted reporting sinks to the lowest depths possible, maybe then they can look to their own UNION to keep them all afloat.

The people have spoken.
The Ed Show reigns supreme according to the latest TVN ratings at 10PM.
Ed's mother was a teacher and he has been on the side of education ever since the protests began.
Recall Walker Now and take CNN Management with You!!

@9:18AM: "360 is CNN's top show. They must be doing something right."
Really, then you must be part of management. Name one thing they've done right in reporting on domestic issues. One thing??
And being #1, when you're third, consistently in ratings, is no big honor.

I like that 360 is not heavy on politics but
hard news. The situation in Libya is impacting
millions. Gas and everything else is rising.
TSR & John King should be doing more on
Wisconsin. John King actually had Joe Klein
on his show to talk about Wisconsin today.
Both are big political shows on CNN.
It will be interesting to see the ratings for
John King for Thursday. He used a clip from
a Few Good Men to make a point about the
National Intelligence Director who told a
Senate panel the truth only to have 2 senators
call for his resignation. For an entire hour
John King didn't have the pundits from the
left and the right and it was refreshing.
Have you guys noticed that CNN got rid
of all of the Eliot Spitzer promos and PMT
is now a repeat on Friday. I am thinking
that if you have a new show and trying to
find an audience, would you be showing
old shows or not taking time off to make
sure your show is successful. I think that
CNN management is trying to find a way
out of Spitzer and Morgan without admitting
they are failing.

John King must be making changes because there was some talk about CNN possibly making another change at 7 pm - I don't care for John King and I usually watch BBC America at that time but I wouldn't have minded watching the JK broadcast anon 12:16 am describes.

I believe 360's coverage of Libya is relevant and important, but if they can squeeze in a Dr. Drew segment about Charlie Sheen, they can afford to do more on Wisconsin-Walker-union busting. They attempted to cover it Thursday night, but it was at the end of the broadcast and kind of short - Anderson didn't appear to really be interested in the subject matter, and I suppose he was "forced" into including it because of ratings and possible complaints from viewers. What's happening in Wisconsin and a few other states is scary and needs much more coverage on ALL of CNN's programs. The political break on 360 is only temporary since they'll be gearing up for 2012 and I'll be tearing my hair out due to their choice of pundits.

Eliot Spitzer can't be happy about his show's new format - now he has to contend with TWO regulars. I'm still wondering why they won't bring in an additional liberal voice on that show - Spitzer's very intelligent and can handle the two other commentators, but it still would help to have another voice and it would be a lot fairer as well.

We like to say when CNN gets it right or when
they miss the point. CNN's coverage of the quake
in Japan is phenomenal. Since 3 AM we have been
watching CNN. They were on CNN International
until 5 AM when they started AM at 5 AM with
TJ & KIran, Rob and reporters. TJ & Kiran are
growing and coming into their own as anchors.
They are doing an amazing job handling the
breaking news.We know you all focus on
prime time but start keeping an eye out for
AM. Sometimes lately they are beating MJ
in the demo but they are behind in viewers.
These two deserve to be the permanent AM
team. This is going to be big day for TJ &
Kiran. MJ is not going wall to wall. Also, it
is not just the people on camera. There is
the AM team behind the scenes. :You all
are doing great work as well.

TJ Holmes tweeted that today was his last day on
American Morning. The news just keeps giving to
CNN and they need to step up. No Eliot Spitzer or
Piers Morgan. This is going to be huge. CNN needs
to be a little CNN, Discovery and Science mix all
day long. CNN should have Rob Marciano, Chad
Meyers and Reynolds Wolf and the reporters in
Japan, Hawaii and the west coast. This is about
Video, pictures and eyewitnesses. CNN should
be live from 8 until midnight if needed 360
should be on from 9-midnight. Not sure if
Anderson can get to Hawaii, but he should be
live and as close as possible. The ratings for
this will be huge if CNN gets it right. Fox
has already announce no Glenn Beck.

CNN better have bigger plans for TJ. How
could he not get the job.I don't think CNN
understands that trying to make Eliot Spitzer
& Piers Morgan legitimate news people is a
drag during breaking news. How can it be
that 2 people with zero journalism experience
get to do breaking news on CNN and Tj can't
get the job on American Morning. Something
is terribly wrong at CNN.

Japan is a high tech nation. That means video
will be on You Tube, FaceBook , Twitter, etc.
Let's hope CNN is crowdsourcing. If not, CNN
better learn fast.360 should be live for 2 hours.

Guys do you think there is any chance of Isha
Sesay anchoring live at 8. Isha or Hala Gorani.
Both are anchors and smart. Isha already has
to do the cut-ins on 360. Anybody but Eliot
Spitzer and PIers Morgan. CNN can't keep
destroying their name brand. Is it possible for
TJ Holmes to get a prime time gig ? I think he
just might be moving on to something bigger
and not returning to weekends.CNN does need
to stick with this story non stop all night long
and into Saturday morning. Chad just said
another quake has hit Japan.

I always learn something from this blog.
Thanks for the heads up about George S.
I won't even attempt to spell the last name.
I think George Tonight is a news show. From
researching on the web, he started the show
as a way to get young people to watch a show
about current events, news and other topics.
This guy can talk about anything. I now know
why he says it's your boyfriend. It is a greeting
to the women who tune in each night for the
show. Hey, he is way cuter than Eliot Spitzer.
I hope you all are successful convincing CNN.
Perhaps they read this blog. The best way
to describe him is a cross between James
Dean & Peter Jennings. Could the bosses
at CNN be ready for a news show with a
song by Sloan called The Good In Everyone
and I guy in jeans each night saying it's
your boyfriend. I think men will like him too.
He has been on the CBC for 7 years. This
show could take on Bill O' Reilly.

Wow. ti turns out George Strombo interviewed
Larry King. You can see Larry was impressed by
George. Seriously, check it out on CBC/Strombo.
George has interviewed more important people
than Piers. CNN said it launched a worldwide
search for Larry King;s successor. How did he
fall under the CNN radar ? It is classic and
funny. Larry was clearly having fun. Yes put
George on before 360 these George and 360
back to back would be ratings gold.
