CNN's Peabody Award Winners


Among prizes for electronic media – radio awards, television awards, interactive and new media awards – THE GEORGE FOSTER PEABODY AWARDS are considered the most prestigious. ATC would like to offer our congratulations to this years CNN winners.

• Restoring the American Dream: Fixing Education and CNN’s Fareed Zakaria GPS: Interpretation and Commentary on Iran (CNN)
Zakaria applies his interviewing and analytical skills to impressive effect in his prime-time special devoted to America’s education quandary and in his measured, insightful ruminations on Iran.

The Peabody Awards will be presented on May 21 at The Waldorf Astoria in NYC. Master of Ceremonies will be Patrick Stewart. For more information follow the link.

Congrats to all. Too bad we don't get to see all
of the stellar CNN reporters. CNN could celebrate
their own journalists a whole lot more.

/\ Agreed! I am glad Zakaria's work was rewarded - his show and specials are very good. Kudos to all those involved in Arab Spring coverage - brave folks! Good work CNN. Ditch the preening primetime anchors and showcase more of your fine reporters!

Excellent choices, Heroes is an exceptional program, I always look forward to it each year and CNN did some remarkable work during the Arab Spring and that includes all of the reporters and anchors who were on the ground reporting there. And of course Fareed Zakaria is a huge asset for CNN, these are all well deserved recipients of the Peabody.
