Well, there was a press release a week or two ago announcing Kyra's departure to HLN and Ashleigh taking over her CNN Newsroom slot at 11am.

I'm confused to why this blogpost was posted? You reported on this blog back on June 26th that John Berman will co-host with Zoraida and that Ashleigh will move to the 11PM hour on Newsroom, making Kyra move to HLN.

I think someone on the team wasn't up to date on what we'd posted. The current blog post has been corrected, thank you.

BTW maybe CNN should update the Early Start site since Ashleigh is still on the banner and listed as co-host? Guess we aren't the only ones not paying attention.

I believe this Friday will be Ashleigh's last day on Early Start because John Berman will debut this coming Monday alongside Zoraida. I'm sure by then the webpage will be updated. I'm just curious if this means Ashleigh will move from New York to Atlanta considering CNN Newsroom is broadcasted from the Atlanta studio. Carol Costello and Suzanna Malveux both moved from Washington to Atlanta once hired to host a Newsroom block. When John Roberts and Kiran Chetry hosted American Morning, John moved from Washington to New York to co-host.

It should have been Brooke Baldwin moving to HLN and NOT Kyra Phillips. She is a great reporter and anchor. I will remember her best on CNN when she reported from Baghdad, Iraq during the war. Brooke Baldwin, who is good at news, is more of a pop culture anchor as well. She would be a better fit for HLN.
