Dose." Every 19 minutes in this country, someone dies of a drug
overdose. Most of these drug overdoses are not from illicit drugs, but
prescription drugs; perfectly legal, FDA-approved, ostensibly safe drugs -
prescribed to millions of people every day. What few people know is that
accidental drug overdoses - which are fueled primarily by prescription drugs -
kill more people than deaths due to heroin, crack & methamphetamines
combined. Prescription drugs kill more people every year in the United States
than car crashes.
