I suppose AC won't ask either of them tough questions about their actions but will just allow them to yell about how awful the Obama Adminstration is. Greenwald is a narcissist and a self-promoter more than a journalist. He, Assange and Snowden are admirers of far right extremists Ron and Rand Paul and Assange has stated that he's a fan of Drudge. There may need to be some checks and balances at the NSA, but I don't trust Greenwald, The Guardian or Snowden and Assange and feel that much of what they're doing is has more to do with bringing down the Obama Administration than anything else. AC plays into their hands because he is ALWAYS critical of the Obama Administration and wants/allows guests on his program to put out as much negativitiy about it without challenging them. Greenwald expresses outrage about what happened to his partner but he engineered the entire thing to work out as it did. He is a fraud.
One more thing, Greenwald is big on Russia taking in Snowden, but has he said a word about the horrible treatment of gays there? If not, I wonder why. Anderson should ask him, but he won't.
3:48pm makes some very good points that I agree with.
Might I also add that Greenwald and his partner wouldn't be given an interview by Cooper or be on 360for that matter, if they weren't gay. He constantly is pushing the gay agenda, good, bad or indifferent.
AJAM is about to shake up cable news. Been watching since last night and it's pretty obvious that we have been paying CNN, FOX & MSNBC for being non-news channels. AL JAZEERA is one of the top searches on Google. America Tonight is awesome. Real news and long form journalism. Original content and storytelling. Turned from New Day to watch this morning. CNN blew it and is not strongly committed to news. Bye bye CNN.
Ouch. New Day tanked with the Prince William
interview. Jeff Zucker is making things worse
for CNN. This can't be good news. New Day is
staring to look like Starting Point. It should just
be Chris Cuomo & Michaela, she is the best one
on the show.
Already AJ is beating the others with breaking
news. Aj was first with the Manning sentencing
news and the Ft Hood shooting case. Let's face
it AJ is America's largest news content provider.
They have chosen to be the CBS of cable news.
I stopped liking CNN a while back.
I have been so disappointed in 360 lately. CNN is spending too much time on Hannah Anderson, Glen Greenwald/Ed Snowden and the royal family. Too tabloid for my taste. 360 is on punishment when it comes to my DVR. AJAM is now live at the news conference for Manning's lawyers. No one else is live. Not only do they have deep pockets but resources as well. It's surprising to see the interest in AJAM. I have
added the 8 PM hr and America Tonight to the DVR.
I'm really enjoying AJAM as well. In some ways it's the way CNN used to be decades ago, just good reporting, no frills.
Oh wow, watching AJAM and they just went from a report on Robert Mugabe's inauguration to an interview with Kathy Griffin! Wasn't expecting THAT! No matter, I'm still enjoying AJAM.
AJA is real journalism that I never thought we would ever see on cable news. Already American Tonight is making noise with some calling it the best cable news program. Christof Putzel has some serious journo skills. Does not matter if dude is reporting on Egypt or Chicago you will feel like you are there. AJA will likely average way younger than the other cable news networks. Much social media buzz from college students. CNN has some serious competition. It will be interesting to the ratings for AJA. Surprised they have not leaked yet.AJA is relief for news junkies and is hands down the best. Maybe AJA will force CNN to get better.
AJA got a good review from USA Today this past Friday.
They said while the network does need tweaking, it is all news all the time and very different what we
are used to.
They said that most of the news had very little to do with local American news, like crime and that this was "quite refreshing."
I happen to agree.
