It has been a while since I've had to say this, but last week FOX swept the primetime ratings in the Adults 25 - 54 demographic. During the 8PM hour, they won the timeslot all five nights. At 9PM they had the top ratings on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. At 10PM, they received the top ratings on Thursday and Friday.

CNN remained in fourth during the 8PM hour, but on Thursday night the program came in second. The 9PM timeslot rating changed on a daily basis. First place on both Tuesday and Friday. Second place on Thursday. Third place on Monday and Wednesday. The 10PM hour saw some inconsistency as well with a second place finish for the week. The program came in first place on Tuesday and Wednesday. Second place on Thursday and Friday. Monday night saw the program in fourth place.

MSNBC only saw a primetime win on one night with the highest demographic rating at 10PM on Monday night. At 8PM & 9PM, they had the second highest average rating. During the 10PM hour, MSNBC placed fourth.

HLN found themselves in third place during both 8PM and 10PM. For the 9PM timeslot, they remained in fourth place.

Happy 40th Birthday (January 21st) to CNN political director Sam Feist.

Feist was named vice president of Washington-based programming earlier this year. He oversees all programming based out of the Washington bureau, including The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer, State of the Union with John King and political specials (in addition to being CNN's political director).
