HLN # 2 in the demo.At this point it is clear
CNN is a sinking ship and no one is trying to
fix the problems.

I am so tired of phrases like your money and
this person vs that person. I am watching CNN
not the WWE or Entertainment Tonight.

Listen to Jon Stewart yo are CNN act like it
and stop the madness which just comes across
as silliness.

CNN is in such a deep hole now that it will
take a couple of years to fix the mess.

The PR that CNN is putting out is pathetic.

According to ICN CNN is having a really bad
year.CNN will be 4th in 2009. Never in the
history of the network has that ever happened.
Anyone saying CNN does not have opinion tv
is crazy, they have way too much opinion and
the news is getting lost in it all.

I agree with you, 7:40PM. The PR CNN is putting out to cover itself is very "pathetic." According to TVNewser they released a statement EARLY saying they never had a "better year," and revenue was up as was viewing. Maybe on HLN, their sister station, but not on CNN! Let's play "spin" the truth!
I did notice that Robin Meade made an appearance on 360, and there were some other exchanges with minor hosts from HLN. I'm wondering if their new strategy is to work in some HLN news clips from shows showing ratings increases, with their hosts and guests.
The problem with that, is, the audience that watches CNN WANTS NEWS, not chit chat. Something tells me 2010 is going to be just as lame as'09.

CNN is a failure for not doing news. This
should be a wake up call.I think they need
to adopt the mindset of CNN.com : interesting
storytelling and photography. People at CNN
need to work on their questioning skills. 5
minutes is all you need for an interview.

To me CNN is acting like a cheap date.
Too much how much is this going to
cost and not being truthful about why
the debt ceiling had to be raised. The
last thing you need in a deep reccession
is for the government to shut down.
Secondly, they need to stop saying
Americans when talking about the polls.
There is a poll today on Yahoo that says
Obama is at 56 % , while other polls say
differently. It is clear at this point that
it depends on who you poll. Quit saying
this is how 308 million Americans feel.
Yahoo used the correct words in saying
participants. I really don't get why old
media still think they can control the
news and make people think a certain
way. Game is up guys.

I really did not know where to put this because it was meant for ATA, but: I could not slow it down enough to enter it under comments, because I got a terrible rolling effect and it kept passing by the Comments section.
Someone told me, who's tech savy, that when you put too much video on, as in the R&K clips of the show, it becomes over-loaded and there's no way to stop this rolling.
So here's my comment: If AC is going to use the wall map to show us demonstrations,CNN must provide him with graphics on the posters that don't look like fifth graders wrote it. The angle at which he is focusing is wrong as well.
The posters don't look professional either. If you're going to use pictorial aids, it should have some purpose. Just reading charts is boring to watch.
How nice to have Gloria in the audience and it would have been even nicer if I was able to stop the rolling to view something other than the monologue from R&K.

I think it is pretty much a given that changes
will be made in the line up of programs on CNN.
I just hope it is with fresh faces and not some of
the people currently at CNN.I am sorry but one
problem with CNN is that they have some really
annoying anchors.

One thing I see a lot on social media is
how come this story is not on CNN. If
BBC America can find stories in America
how come CNN can't ? I am not sure if
CNN will make the changes needed and
will continue with the back and forth. I
could not watch 360 since it started with
the talking heads.

TVN has the memo from Jim Walton. I kinda
feel he knows 2009 has been rough for his
network and things likely will have to be done
to get his network back into the game in 2010.
CNN needs to keep in mind that people want
access to information. If the are really serious
about journalism, I want to see with my own 2
eyes. One thing I have to say about MSNBC, if
something is not working they will make
changes.CNN waited too long to do something
about their problems. Now you have to do
something to make viewers come back.I most
say I have noticed in the last couple of days
that 360 has been doing some things that
made me watch in the 1st place. Having
Jerry read 1 thousand pages to see how long
it would take and the changing of the intros
on the CNN Challenge game. Now if only
the music would come back.

Anon 10:37 good point.I find more interesting
news on the web than on CNN. Yesterday one
of the biggest talked about items on the internet
was the clip on YouTube of a 14-year old that
has created a news surgery technique. Hello,
how about an interview with Dr. Gupta. On
AOL there was an item on the Pentagon trying
to master lightning, That is who people talk
in this day and time. Did you see this on the
internet. Now armed with a browser you can
find hundreds of news items.Of course there
is Google, Bing, Yahoo and even Current has
good content and of course CNN.com I hate
to say it but in many ways the internet is
better than watching news on tv.I don't get
the story selection on CNN. News should be
way better and not rehash.Cable news need
to get more in line with real time news.
I know college students who would gladly
search the worldwide web for CNN.

At some point the people at 360 will get that
viewers of the show don't care for the political
pundits unless it is David Gergen. Earlier this
year Tina Brown took the news biz to task for
getting rid of journalists and no pundits. She
is so right it has completely ruined real news.
By the way Brown will be on Amanpour this
weekend talking about journalism.

I find it odd that Tina Brown took the news biz to task for not hiring more journalists, since she is not one herself. She was the editor of a woman's magazine and was never an investigative reporter. And might I also add that she herself served, just last year, as one of those "pundits."

Tina Brown is a journalist. Just google it.

@7:46AM: I can't believe you thought that having "Jerry" read, some classic on 360, to show how long it would take to read the health care bill, was a good idea!! No one got it and it made viewers, US, look really stupid, almost as stupid as those on Capitol Hill!!
