Some Reporters Have All the Luck

Anderson Cooper complained on Monday's AC360 that no one from BP would talk with him. It seems John Roberts has much better luck. This was just released by CNN:
John Roberts, anchor of CNN's American Morning, has secured unprecedented access to Doug Suttles, Chief Operating Officer of BP Exploration and Production. Roberts will take a chopper tour and head out to the oil rig with Suttles for an inside look at BP's efforts to stop the disastrous oil leak.
The interview will begin airing at 6 a.m. ET Thursday on American Morning. Transcript and video will be available tomorrow morning. Roberts will co-anchor the program from the Gulf region through Friday.

If you're interested in the video of Cooper's rant it's posted after the jump.

This is not luck and good for John Roberts who outsourced AC.
Anderson interviewed Doug Suttles in NYC, when the media realized, after some 30 days into the story, that this was going to be a really big deal, and AC was ARROGANT. I know, I listened to him. Some say he asked the tough questions, but it is NOT what you say, it is how you say it. If you immediately put someone on the DEFENSE, he's not going to grant you another inerview, just because...you're you. This might teach Mr.Cooper to mind his P&Q's and start watching those other experts on 60 Minutes. They've been at it a long time and they know how to get the GETS, and not "trash" the source.

Cooper reran his rant on tonight's 360. Does he not realize he sounds like a spoiled rich kid who is so used to getting his way that he can't imagine anyone telling him no?

@10:38pm: Fully agree...but I don't think it's about his background. I think it is more about his fame and ego.
Loved when John Roberts actually appeared on 360 to show just how he outscooped him. Yes, indeed that was a humbling experience to say the least.
