If Piers Morgan thinks that by taking a photo with AC, he can than rub some of his popularity on himself, he's wrong.
Good vibes don't work that way Piers and while Oprah said, "Gee your good," at least one thousand times during your promo with her, I refuse to inflate your already over inflated ego, by watching your show.
If you're that "good," go on "her" network, not CNN.

Just watched 360 on dvr. Powerful show.
From the people in the room with Giffords
to the Greens. It reminded me why I actually
started watching 360 in the first place.Until
360 I never watched cable news in prime
time.I just set the dvr to get a recap of the
speech.I recorded the speech from network.
Some moments are beyond politics.360 was
once the great hope in cable news. It was
more inline the ABC,NBC and CBS when it
comes to content. Not sure why the messed
up the show.

CNN is getting it wrong with Piers Morgan. Is
he the face or CNN or are the anchors/reporters.
CNN better keep Anderson way apart from this
guy. Piers Morgan is going down in flames &
people can't wait to stick it to the British jerk.
Everyday Piers Morgan shows why he is a big
turnoff. Besides Nancy Grace will now be live
at 9 until Dr Drew comes onboard. CNN almost
lost Nancy. wonder if this is a part of her new
contract. If people start to associate Anderson
with Piers Morgan, 360 will suffer. In fact, the
Nancy Grace move makes me wonder if the
bosses are sick of Piers Morgan. It just strikes
me as odd when you are launching a new
show. Nancy gives Keith trouble and he is
way more likable that Piers Morgan will ever
be.CNN had to go with a national insult,
The viewers protest starts Monday.

CNN just really annoyed me. During their live
coverage of the flag ceremony for Christina
Green, they had the crawl with information
about her killer and the hurtful words from
Palin. Bad decision CNN and it shows how
little CNN thinks of the victims. That is exactly
why you don't run the crawl on stories like this;
it was really insensitive. Bad enough they
started the hour with a panel and you have to
wonder why people are now watching this
events on new media. That's the answer.
You don't have to put up with that stuff.

Nice to hear that Dr Gupta is now in Arizona
and is talking with the doctors. Those doctors
are totally cool. The ratings are in and with
Wolf Blitzer and Co anchoring CNN improved
and topped MSNBC in the demo. Slightly behind
with total viewers. Let that be a lesson for CNN.
If you want to be in the game with breaking news,
bring in the journalists.CNN has got to stop letting
Eliot Spitzer & Kathleen Parker cover breaking news.
Don't even think about doing breaking news with
that reality show judge. I guess we can look to
Dr Gupta's report tonight on 360.

Nice to hear Dr.Gupta was chosen by Forbes Magazine as one the 3 most influential people in the US.
He never looks for praise, he is low key, and seeks to keep out of the limelite. He just does his job as a neurosurgeon and as a journalist.
More awards should come his way because he deserves them all.
Sanjay is a refined gentleman.
Unfortunately, he is rare and I do hope CNN knows this.

I thought CNN really should have considered
Dr Sanjay Gupta for prime time. Gupta is just
another example of talent right underneath
the nose of management. I am curious as to
how the ratings will be for AM for Thursday
& today. I have noticed that since TJ has come
to the show there is a different atmosphere and
no tension.I hate to say it but I am starting to
wonder if John Roberts was at odds with others
involved in the show. Like say producers. Let's
hope they really try to work on the show and
capitalize on TJ's personality.TJ's personality
is so refreshing in the morning.I did have to
turn the channel when they went into Piers
Morgan mode. Enough already CNN. People
have a tolerance level.

I think TJ has started anchoring on Tuesday,
but looking at the ratings on TV By The
Numbers I see their ratings are back above
200,000 and the demo is better. One thing
that is interesting to me is that Fox & Friends
seem to be down.HLN & MSNBC seem to be
steady. That would be interesting if CNN is
getting a few Fox viewers. I think CNN goes
with Jim Acosta on Mondays. Also, the news
graphics look. I want more. The transitional
graphics have not been update and the drop
box thing needs to go. The drop box is odd
because it is at an angle and not straight
forward.I have yet to watch a full show on
HD but first installment is step in the right
direction. I could still do without the crawl.
Are we suppose to be reading the changing
banner or the crawl.

Kudos to Dr Gupta. Anon 1:57 I agree with you.
If he is so good how come he is not on Oprah's
network. Just like I will never watch Parker Spitzer,
I will not watch Piers Morgan. The Oprah hype
won't work. Just take a look at Joy Behar. The
View averages 5 million viewers daily, but her
show on HLN is barely on the radar.CNN is
looking desperate by having a CNN reporter
ask Oprah about PIers. So now they stage
stuff.I would never have noticed this but a
friend brought this to my attention. There is
no way that Piers Morgan was on Oprah's
mind when she was launching OWN. In the
past she has gotten her lawyers involved
whenever people tried to associate her with
things. CNN is so busted. The show will be
4th or 5th.

I think TJ Holmes & Kiran Chetry might be the
youngest morning anchor team.CNN should
really use modern music and graphics.I noticed
this morning their did a really neat text info-
graphic and they do seem to be playing around
with some things.CNN has a real opportunity
here. They are 2 up and coming journalists.
But we all know the history. CNN will mess
this up too.

Bye Piers. Sarah Palin is on FNC and MSNBC
will probably be running Lock Up. Nobody
will be watching Oprah. She needs to start
paying more attention to promoting her
OWN.

I say go with TJ Holmes , Reynolds Wolf and
Another female anchor but add 2 20 somethings
into the mix. AM does too many repeats, TV
by the Numbers for Thursday shows AM went
down. That means TJ & Alina got better ratings.
Come Monday we will find out if 2 hrs of CNN I
will help with CNN be live an entire hour before
MSNBC.CNN needs to spend more time investing
in news instead of Piers Morgan. The hour long
celeb interview went out long time ago. Those
promos are annoying. CNN should have gone
with Chelsea Lately.

Anonymous said...

I agree about the hour long interviews "being gone lone ago."
Today, everyone is accessable that wants to be and no one person is all that interesting.
Even 60 Minutes seldom spends more than 15 minutes on any one personality.
Oprah herself, was having ratings problems in daytime. That is one reason she is leaving, although she'd never admit to that.
Even Anderson is going to have a tough hill to climb in daytime.

CNN needs to find a team that is forward thnking.
The suits at CNN may ignore this blog but that
may not be the case with MSNBC. For months we
have posted how CNN needs to have an ABC plan.
Accessibility, Broadcasting & Connectivity. At least
MSNBC thought we had some great ideas and they
gave us what we wanted. You can now watch TRMS
on Ipad and they are doing the same for droids. Not
only can you watch the show, you can watch older
episodes. People have been going to her blog and
asking for the droid app and they are happy to
oblige. The Piers Morgan hire shows CNN is not
ready for the 21st century.CNN should return
360 back to it's old form and offer live streaming
and episodes. More than 50 % of people are finding
out about shows online. CNN can keep focusing
on the 5 % who are into the partisan bickering
or they can go for millions of potential viewers.
Watch Rachel's ratings soar while CNN falls
way behind. Same thing goes for Parker Spitzer
Time for shows like this have come and gone.
Try a viewer selected news show. I am sure
people want to know more a Tunisia. Make
it a legit news show with stories you can verify
and no politics so it does not turn people off.
Same thing with women. CNN has some of the
best female journalists on the planet. Why are
they not in prime time ? CNN chooses to ignore
millions of women who consume news and not
politics. Does any network want to be anything
other than a 24/7 political network. CNN uses
social media the wrong way. You don't just
read comments from FB or Twitter. You
actually let people participate by helping shape
the news they will see.CNN is not prepared for
Generation Mobile or the change that will
take place before the year is out.FB has more
than 600,000,000 people imagine how many
people could participate. You can also use
Twitter and CNN.com. We will post some of
our thesis later.

The inclusion of Isha Sesay on 360 is a smart move in order to energize the show.
Before the AZ shootings, the show's average totals were in the upper 400's which were dismal.
With the lack of support from a guaranteed lead in, and the likes of Piers Moron, 360 might even consider giving AC a co-anchor.

Anonymous said...

If CNN were smart, which they're not, we know this by now, they'd use Isha Sesay at noon doing CNNI reports and interacting with journos overseas.
She is a talented jounalist on her own and should be used properly.
Unlike Erica, who needed a bit of a tune up before her departure to CBS, Isha is a seasoned anchor and should be used as such. Not as a second banana to amuse Anderson and spice up his dull show.
Once again CNN has missed the boat on this one. When will they learn how to use their talent properly??
