Fix HLN. Make it something other than a
crime channel. Bring back the original
24/7 format add CNN International from
like 9- 6 AM for Morning Express. It makes
no sense to repeat ME. Nancy Grace seems
to have run it's course.

CNN needs to keep in mind that television is
a visual medium. It is not about pov but more
about original reporting & story-telling. Become
more like Euronews, whose motto is : we don't
do opinion. Euronews trusts their viewers and
treats them with respect. Too often CNN forgets
about the viewer. It is as if the talking heads are
talking amongst themselves and that leaves the
viewers out and turned off. Video of events is
the greatest weapon for cable news. I hope they
realize that opinion is not visually appealing.
Never assume that what is important to you
is important to viewers.

CNN is too old school using the same tired
old formulas that are 20 yrs old. Does the
anchor have to chat back and forth and be
a part of every segment. Some segments on
CNN need to be stand alone. Hello, you are
talking to other reporters. I'm guessing they
know how to write a segment without the
anchor interjection. Definitely lose the anchor
reading alongside the video and get rid of the
clutter at the bottom of the screen. Same goes
for that ugly gray drop box. Quit interfering with
video and graphics. Finally, it is time for the
pundits to go. It shows laziness. At some
point CNN needs to get it.

Thought President Obama was funnier last year at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
And I don't think it was appropriate that Donald Trump was in attendance.
Just because he has money and a big mouth doesn't mean he can be everywhere. OH, I forgot, this is the United States and money is power. For a moment I forgot.

Hire people who are able to re-invent &
transform CNN. Content is valuable as well.
All day long you see the name News Room.
Why do they use for same name for all of
the dayside shows up until Wolf Blitzer. I
agree that Erin Burnett should be on before
Wolf. There are time when Brooke Baldwin
seems in over her head and like she has
not quite done her homework. Give Brooke
Baldwin the 1-3 PM show. I don't like
anything about American Morning right
now. It is the worst morning show by far.

CNN needs a tech/new media show. Reliable
Sources is so last century. It is limited to tv,
radio and print. Where are the people from
Propublica and digital news outlets that are
not along ideological lines ? Yahoo News and
Google news are popular. Donald Trump is
a prime example of why old media is dying,
A complete jerk is able to hijack cable news
for nothing of importance. Dozens of other
legitimate news stories are being ignored .
I am not sure CNN gets it.

Let's be honest. Erin is a huge improvement
over Ali. CNN had to really sweeten the pie to
get her to completely stop talking with all of
the other networks. Erin may not be in prime
time yet but stay tuned. It might not be a
bad idea to have her on the 1-3 PM schedule.
That is a couple of hours of weakness for MSNBC.
CNN's business shows are horrible. Bloomberg
West is getting a lot of positive buzz. I don't
think CNN could compete with that show. I
think CNN has doubled down on the pundits.
Which is like the worst move possible. In the
age of You Tube, Face Book and Twitter ,they
are useless. That's why CNN is failing. The
world is very different now and they are too
stubborn to change. It is the music industry
all over again. CNN should be hiring more
journalists,writers and photographers. TW
owns too many magazines and websites for
the content on CNN to be that bad.

@6:02PM: If you get "rid of the clutter at the bottom of the screen," as you suggested, how will I know what happened, YESTERDAY?

There was a big difference in the prime network ratings and the cable network ratings for the Royal Wedding.
CNN beat FOX NEWS, but with the estimated twenty-two million people watching, the proportion of those watching cable was very small indeed.
How many ways can you split two and a half million people left over that watched the three cablers??

Good for President Obama!
He interrupted Trump's Apprentice to give the nation News that ONLY the POTUS can give us.
And after the rightful boos Trump received at the Correspondent's Dinner, I think he should just go away....forever.
As Seth Meyers so eloquently said, "He's a joke."
