CNN chief medical correspondent and practicing neurosurgeon Dr. Sanjay Gupta reports how U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) survived the mass shooting in Tucson earlier this year that killed six and wounded 18 others. Gupta interviews the EMTs who evacuated her to a trauma hospital, her surgeons, her rehabilitation doctors and other therapists. Gupta also performs a surgical demonstration of the skull surgery for the documentary so that viewers can better understand how it works.
