*CNN anchor and special correspondent Soledad O’Brien reports on Marlen Esparza’s Olympic dreams. The International Olympic Committee has allowed female boxing into competition – for the first time – in the 2012 games. Five-time U.S. national champion, 21-year-old Esparza weighs 112 pounds and hits so quickly and so hard that she has to spar with men. She is beautiful and oozes charm, but also has been fixated on the male-dominated boxing since she was 11 years old – shunning friends, boyfriends, a social life, and even TV to make time to train. She was smart enough to earn full scholarships to top colleges, but postponed college because she and her family dream she will one day represent the U.S. in the Olympics, giving their Mexican-American community a hero that could push aside negative stereotypes. Standing in Esparza’s way are the competitors who share her Olympic aspirations, a mirror of the kind of girls who box in this country – mostly blue collar, women of color, who struggle in what is traditionally a man’s sport. Chief among them, and also profiled, is Cristina Cruz, a Puerto Rican from Hell’s Kitchen.

** CNN’s Joe Johns draws upon recently released FBI and Justice Department documents to tell the story of the mysterious 2001 bioterrorism poisonings that killed five people and sickened 17 more. Threatening letters – using jihadist language – were enclosed with anthrax and mailed to media organizations and the U.S. Capitol shortly after the September 11, 2001 attacks upon the World Trade Center and Pentagon. Weaving together interviews with people central to the investigation, Johns follows the trail of evidence revealing where authorities missed important clues, wrongly focused on an innocent man, and ultimately built a case against a civilian scientist working in a U.S. Military laboratory. Since the suspect committed suicide and the government’s case was built upon circumstantial evidence, doubts linger about his guilt – ten years after the anthrax attacks.

700 people were arrested on Saturday as a part
of Occupy Wall Street. Where was CNN ? Can you
say media bias ? CNN does not and will not report
the news. Thank goodness for Current TV. It is the
only network to fully cover Occupy Wall Street.
CNN engages in media blackout. Okay that is why
old media will go out of business. The Revolution
will not be televised. It will be live on the streets.
Since CNN has banned the news, they will always
be clueless to what is going on.

Unless you are the tea party, partisan pundit,
Obama basher or rail against Latinos or blacks
CNN bans you from the network. The only thing
they broadcast is right wing propaganda.

CNN needs to do something about all of their
Facebook pages. CNN has been hijacked by
teams that dumb down conversations on FB.
It is why everyone left Digg.
