CNN needs to stop frequently using profanity and
the N word on their network. Parents are highly
upset that CNN thinks it is appropriate for CNN to
let their corespondents use that word. Yet no other
group slurs are acceptable to CNN. Parents can't
watch CNN with their kids. Nobody wants their kids
to talk like that. Just because CNN is so comfortable
with the word does not mean it is acceptable. Many
find it ironic that since President Obama has been
in the White House CNN likes to use the N word.
CNN needs to stop offended viewers and respect
our diverse American society. For the F word and
the N word to go out on Easter Sunday is even
more of an insult. I have decided to block CNN.
I don't want my kids to use those words. It is not
acceptable and it is insulting. Won't watch CNN
anymore. We were having an Easter egg hunt
with a diverse group of kids and CNN used
profanity and a racial slur.
Didn't CNN recently suspend one of their
pundits for insulting gays. Yet it is OK for
their correspondents to use the end word.
It would not surprise me one bit to see Ashleigh
Banfield replace Erin Burnett. She got better ratings
than Erin Burnett anchoring 360. I don't think CNN
viewers are going to warm up to Erin Burnett. There
is much speculation that Betty Nguyen could return
to CNN. Would they be considering her for brand
new morning show. Expect CNN to announce some
changes really soon. Time is short. By June viewer
numbers will take a dive with the warm weather.
Man, I hope you are right. I'm just not optimistic that CNN will act that fast to dump Burnett. I liked Ashleigh Banfield when she was with MSNBC - she is better suited for evening show. I would welcome Nguyen back as well.
I stopped DVR 'ing 360 because I got tired of
Piers Morgan, Erin Burnett and pundits. I recorded
360 to see Anderson Cooper and Isha Sesay. I
avoid Erin Burnett and Piers Morgan for a reason
and pundits are useless and dinosaurs. That is
exactly why Starting Point is a failure. A dumbed
down version of Morning Joe is a bad idea. That
is CNN these days Pundit TV. Management is so
in love with pundits they gave them their own
morning show. CNN must be the only ones who
think Starting Point is acceptable because looking
at the ratings viewers can't stand the show.CNN
is making viewers turn the channel. CNN gets
dumber everyday. CNN was once classy and
smart. Now it is completely unwatchable.
Anyone else think it was strange to have Ashleigh Banfield fill in for Brooke Baldwin, having me think she had the day off, yet Brooke turned up later to host Outfront.
Huh, that is weird. Are they testing Ashleigh out in various spots? Why not have Ashleigh fill in for Burnett - she's much better any way. That is strange and makes me wonder what is up.
Btw, I also long for days when CNN was smart and classy. CNN is becoming unwatchable - guess that's why I didn't know about the substitute anchors today. Watched DVR of Chris Hayes and MHP.

Your post needs to be framed in gold. Perfect!

Sorry if you are a fan of Brooke Baldwin because I think she has very limited skills. So basically they went from bad to worst with the host. Erin while she is completely out of her league, she is far more up on issues that Brooke.
Having a pretty face at CNN is the ticket for getting your own show, it certainly trumps talent.
Yeah, I'm not a big fan of Brooke Baldwin either. She is another example of CNN bringing in telegenic lightweights in order to compete with Fox. I am humored that we are trying to discern the better anchor: Burnett v. Baldwin. Its like judging the world's tallest leprechaun. Congrats, Erin, you're the tallest leprechaun at CNN.
It is strange that Brooke instead of Ashleigh filled in for Erin. My guess is that they wanted to put in someone of the same "class" and Banfield is too much the heavyweight. Maybe we are over thinking it, but if I was Erin, I would be very nervous about Ashleigh filling in my timeslot. Of course, if I was Erin, I would feel damn lucky that I was airlifted to the top of the large heap of talented, smart young women at CNN all because I could play "too cute for tv" on CNBC.
I am so ready for her show to come to an end.
