I've noticed today that Joe Johns was in for Wolf Blitzer and Soledad O'Brien was in for Anderson Cooper. Why don't Lisa Sylvester and Isha Sesay fill in instead? It seems logical for them to be the primary substitute anchors for those shows.

CNN is coming in third.
What else do we need to know?
And yes, we know why.
Except for the SIT Room, everything else should be canceled including 360...put it on HLN, where Cooper has some viewers.

"It's a really big world, you have to get out of the bubble. That's what it takes to be OutFront"

Okay, I see this promo for Erin Burnett everyday and if I'm not mistaken, since her show debuted nearly 9 months ago, she has only left the studio two or three times.

I enjoyed Soledad in prime time tonight. I prefer her there instead of the morning with Starting Point which I absolutely do not like. They should move her to that time of day with a non-pundit show, or just keep her at making documentaries.

I cannot believe what has happened to Anderson Cooper. I'm saddened really. I remember the days back in 2005 when he became a well-known, must-watch, look-forward-to-watching, respected journalist. His big break was covering Hurricane Katrina, and he had a great live two hours of 360º from 10PM to midnight. Now that he has a talk show, and regularly appears on Bravo TV or talk shows to repeatedly talk about how he giggles like a 12 year old girl meeting Justin Bieber for the first time, or about how Kathy Griffin texts him naked photos of herself, he just seems to be more interested in pop culture rather than news. His CNN show has become really boring and he doesn't travel much anymore. I dunno, I'm just kind of reminiscing on the old days and complaining about the current days.

One thing I found VERY interesting is that in his latest weekly video, he stated:
"I've been really busy working still at CNN".
The keyword is 'still'.
It just seems to me that once his contract with CNN is up, he may not renew, and choose to focus more on his daytime talk show, considering he still has 60 Minutes on CBS which would still give him that craving for travel news on the side. He left 'The Mole' after two seasons because he says he needed change and just wanted to focus on the news, especially because 9/11 happened at the time.

I do see Wolf Blitzer currently as the big star at CNN. I really enjoy him and watch The Situation Room everyday. Cannot say that for AC360º anymore really. Oh well.

CNN has become so biased and right wing centered, if Anderson left or 360 got canceled, I'd be happy because I'd never have to watch CNN again. I'd rather not watch AC cover politics on CNN, any other subject, fine. But not politics on CNN. The only worthwhile show on CNN is Fareed Zakaria's GPS.

Anon 11:15pm, OMG, is that not the most annoying ad ever? Puhleeze, the bubble that she needs to get out of is the one that envelopes her head. What a privileged, stilted, elitist worldview she has. Personally, I think she likes her little bubble and she doesn't want to leave it. Who can blame her I guess. Must be nice living in your own little fantasyland. It is true, she has rarely left the studio, but you have to admit there aren't many people in the world worth the time and focus of her majesty, Ms. Burnett. What do you expect? ;)

Yeah, all the pictures with her flak jacket have been transformed into pictures of her posing, laughing, writing, trying to be serious. Yuck. Hard to be "outfront" in high heels and designer dresses, honey. Oh, unless your hooking up with prince whatever from UAE while on his private jet. What a sock puppet.

The ad-makers at CNN must be real fans of ironic humor. They gotta laugh their @$$ off everytime they see that ad.

The execs at CNN think think the audience is blind to their tactics. Pretending to be neutral when they truly lean to the right. Poster boy Will Cain is proof of how far to the right they really are.

I too am saddened at what has happened to Anderson Cooper.
He doesn't even seem like the same person we discovered during Katrina.
That person deserved to be propelled to stardom.
This one is so mediocre you just feel like yelling and changing the remote.
And the strange thing is, HE doesn't get it.

Anon 11:56pm, true dat! I've been a fan of AC for a long time but his CNN show is falling apart. Between AC's decline, that insufferable Brit Morgan, and that uppity snob Burnett, CNN primetime has become completely unwatchable. I just read a piece on Politico about CNN facing an identity crisis. Sam Fiest just keeps defending CNN as the only organization doing real, impartial news and that it just doesn't garner good ratings suggesting it is too high brow. No, you idiot, the ratings are down because CNN sucks at covering real news. It is so frustrating how much these CNN execs DON'T get it.

I was a long time fan of Anderson and I agree with your observations. Even before the syndicated daytime show, it seemed at times like he wasn't even mentally present during 360, wasn't prepared, couldn't read or was 'out there' somewhere but not engaged with the show. I think at some point he will only be on 60 minutes, because his daytime show, in my opinion, is not must watch TV. Speaking personally, it insults my intelligence with the topics and the guests and AC does not have the personable personality that is needed for such a show. He is no Oprah.
