Dynamic Duo Will be Live from Times Square Beginning at 10 p.m. ET
Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin are back to
co-host CNN’s coverage of the New Year’s Eve celebrations on Monday, Dec. 31,
from 10 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. (ET). Bringing back their fun and unpredictable New
Year’s Eve countdown program for the 6th consecutive year, Cooper and
Griffin will ring in the new year live from NYC’s Time Square for CNN’s “New
Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin.”
“As always, I await New Year’s Eve
with Kathy Griffin with grave reservations and tremendous fear, and I want to
apologize in advance to anyone she may offend/assault/attempt to kiss” said
Cooper.
“I don’t know what
Anderson has been doing this past year. I assume he has been sitting, eating Bon
Bons in his mother’s apartment watching reality TV, while I was helping spread
democracy in Egypt or Syria or whichever” said Griffin. “Oh, and did I mention
we’re giving away puppies at midnight?”
CNN correspondents will
provide reports from celebrations across the country and around the world.
Isha Sesay will join Cooper and Griffin from the crowds in Times Square.
Correspondents John Zarrella and Gary Tuchman are on opposite ends
of the East Coast, with Zarrella counting down from Key West, Florida and
Tuchman from Eastport, Maine.
At 12:30 a.m (ET),
Anderson and Kathy will hand off to CNN’s Brooke Baldwin at Jackson
Square in New Orleans, Louisiana and HLN’s Susan Hendricks at the Hard
Rock Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee for the countdown to midnight, Central
time.
Viewers who tweet using
#CNNNYE or post on Facebook.com/ac360, will have the chance to see their New
Year’s Eve message on air. Questions for Anderson and Kathy can also be posted
on the AC360 Facebook page or tweeted with the #CNNNYE hashtag and the hosts
will select a few questions to answer during the show.
Leading up to “New
Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin” will be “All the Best,
All the Worst 2012,” an Anderson Cooper 360° special airing at 8 p.m. (ET). The
special will count down to the new year by recounting the old one with humor,
insight, and fun. CNN correspondent Tom Foreman will be joined by Isha
Sesay, actress and comedian Aisha Tyler, all around smart guy Ben Stein, social
and political commentator and radio host Pete Dominick, Sirius-XM’s Julie Mason,
and the cake boss, Buddy Valastro. They will join Foreman in shining a spotlight
on the highlights and lowlights of the past twelve months in politics, pop
culture, the economy, and entertainment.

Wha, wha, what? They are bringing in Aisha Tyler? Well, good for CNN! I could do without Gary Tuchman though.
Why are they having "the cake boss" on, is Anderson spilling his daytime show over to nighttime? I for one will NOT be watching, I've had it with this network, am switching to MSNBC.
Lighten up it is New Year's . There is nothing wrong
with some fun. So CNN does know about Aisha Tyler.
Happy New Year. 2013 is almost here and the jeff Zucker era at CNN is about to begin. Will CNN become the HBO of cable news ? Changing the news game altogether. This is not going to be easy. CNN has been
so badly damaged.
Re Kathy Griffith/Anderson Cooper's New Years coverage. It beats me why Anderson Cooper would put up with her disgusting behavior. Her fixation on his penis whether she's trying to name it or go down on it. I'm hardly a prude but she's a vulgar distraction to an occasion of celebration.
I just hope that when 2014 comes in this country will get back on track and.be the great country it always has been..
