I read a very interesting comment on YouTube the other day about CNN Breaking News. They have definitely gotten better about it, using JUST IN more often or HAPPENING NOW, but still normally over-use the term. If Syria is liberated, or if God forbid Prince Phillip of England had died, or if we have the first man on Mars, then all those headlines would be true Breaking News. Hopefully soon when Jeff Zucker begins his CNN presidency, he can have bigger and better graphics created, as well as manage Breaking News better. The CNN logo needs to be bigger, words need to return to being in all caps, and paragraphs don't need to be written on screen. CNN should also return to it's previous Breaking News introduction which I found to be more attention grabbing. I don't like the Siri-voiced new one.

I wonder why CNN US wont air the 30 minute international shows "Amanpour" and "CNN NewsCenter with Isha Sesay" within a primetime US hour. It would be a fantastic idea if you ask me.

CNN needs a graphics upgrade like yesterday. It's
ugly on HD. Do viewers need a banner for everything.
Lose the banner from time to time. There is too much
junk on the screen. Stop obstructing maps, graphics
and still pictures. Viewers don't have a clear viewer to
see what it is all about.

Stop telling us what we are talking about or how we
feel about certain stories. What you are talking about
may not even be on my radar. Stop being arrogant.

Stop with the lie that CNN is not partisan, when your network has partisan bickering all day long.
Hypocrites. CNN knocks others for behaving this
way, yet the sam formula is the genesis for every
single CNN show.

Viewers are not getting any news. CNN blindly
follows noise and not news. The idiot or crimes
are turned into news stories. Sure , nothing else
happened in the world. The is virtually no news ,
reporting or indepth meaniful discussions about
the news. There reason being CNN has replaced
journalists and people who qualified for various
topics with pundits with zero skills.

If you are gong to do sports give us real highlights
and not just the score. Where is the video. CNN is
too busy trying to manufacture fake news stories
that they are missing the news. CNN is not informative, intelligent, smart or worth watching. They have severely dumbed down the news. CNN
went away a long time ago and turned into the
we've got nothing but pundits TV. CNN the pundits
are not interesting and neither is your network CNN
is too stubborn to get the message that viewers are
strongly sending you. You are terrible and we are
so not watching.

CNN please hire George Stroumboulopoulos.
Strombo time every night on CNN. A show like
this will help make CNN the HBO of cable news.
A news show with a live studio audience. Let's
see The Debrief & Mile A Minute along with
Strombo's awesome interview skills.

The big question : will Jeff Zucker realize the pundits are what is making CNN extremely boring. CNN is putting their people at a disadvantage. It comes off as CNN talent is not smart enough to do an insightful interview or know enough facts to be an effective questioner. So they are lazy and just go with fake debates that are rhetoric. It is ideological and that is why chemistry is nonexistent on air, the flow is slow
and dull. It is blah, blah blah. all day long. If Zucker
tries to watch CNN, he would easily see what their
problems are. No energy or passion for the news.

Okay CNN. when talking about the Crimson Tide
don't forget about the Alabama Shakes or Sweet
Home Alabama along with Home from Edward
Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. The production on
CNN is really bad. It may not be a bad idea for CNN
to do that women's news show. MSNBC is growing
because of it's diversity. Especially with Brent
Musburger drooling over the Alabama's QB girlfriend.
Millions of women were watching. He is 73. It's like
watching your grandfather act like he is 16.

Strombo would be as close as CNN could get to a
Jon Stewart. It's the type of news oriented show
that could possibly bring CNN some new viewers
who would never consider watching the network.

It's likely that both Ashleigh Banfield and Ali Velshi
know him personally. Ali has been on the show. See
if they can convince him to come to CNN. Jeff Zucker
is on record saying he wants to expand the meaning
of news. The Hour would be a great fit for CNN.

Piers Morgan is very right and it's good to see him tackling the controversial NRA.
If there were more anchors like him, ready to take a stand on issues that are important, ratings would rise themselves.
There is no reason why Anderson Cooper continues to do fluff pieces on 60 Minutes and doesn't have the guts to take on the gun lobby.
I bring up his name only because of his sorrowful condolences to the families....standing outside funeral homes in hopes of finding a victim of this tragedy.
If you're that sorrowful, take a stand. It isn't only the pundits that are at fault.

If Alex Jones is a sample of your ordinary pro-gun toting citizen, than I think, he and the rest of his Texas brethren should seceed from the union.
He is totally misinformed about the second amendment which specifically speaks of a 'militia.'
Is this well spoken take back American part of "a militia?"
Alex, nobody wants to take away the revolver under your pillow.
Please justify the reason you must have a semi-automatic weapon that can shoot a hundred rounds of bullets as one of your toys?"
And speaking of a "crazy ace dude....?"
Must see TV is now a TVN clip of CNN's Piers Morgan, from last nite.

That clip represents how pathetic CNN has become.
Piers Morgan should have been let go with Elliot
Spitzer. Just because the clip is on blogs does not
mean it is popular with the masses. Bet you he still
got killed by Rachel Maddow in the ratings.

Memo to CNN : Katherine Webb was trending not Piers Morgan. TVN has the ratings it was 4th in the demo. CNN still does not get social media. As someone who gets majority of my news from the web, not ideological blogs news pretenders, I can tell you this is another CNN lie. It's not trending or creating buzz. CNN just has to turn everything into a circus. Try talking with Gabby Giffords and her husband and others who are acting responsibly. I have no idea who Alex Jones is and don't care about him or Piers Morgan. I can't wait for Al Jazeera. Oh by the way CNN, Jack Lew's signature is one of many
topics trending now. Get a clue and some brains.

@8:52AM It matters not whether Piers Morgan got killed in the ratings by Rachel Maddow.
Rachel Maddow feels EXACTLY the same about gun control as does Piers Morgan and it is a shame that some commenters read comments that are simply too difficult for them to interpret or comprehend.

Anonymous said...

There are no similarities with Rachel Maddow and
Piers Morgan. Rachel is an intellectual. The problem
for CNN is that they are incapable of having an adult
conversation about any subject. If staged segments
like that are Jeff Zucker's paln, CNN will be 5th soon.
Quit dumbing down the news.
